Missing part in LC on the DVD

Hey everyone,

When I saw LC in theaters and on my original VHS tapes there was a part during the tank scene that I don't see on the DVD. You know that rock that Indy picks up and jams into the tank barrel? Well, I remember him riding around on his horse, then looking up to the mountainside. When he does, a shine appears (to signify the rock) and he heads towards it.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

That's never been in any copy of the movie I've ever seen. You're probably confusing it with the part of the movie where the Nazi's look up and see the reflection of Indy's binocluars.

I may be wrong about the Last Crusade thing, but I'm not wrong about the Raiders of the Lost Ark crate burning at the end that we all know about. ;)

Hi. Im new. And i hate to dredge up an old topic (I figured 2st page. Isnt real old)
I mentioned this because i happened to notice this topic about 2 hours before i saw my FIRST INDIANA JONES EVER!!!! (Im sorry. 16 and never seen one. Lol)
It was teh Last crusade checked out from our local library.
Well when i poped it in the VHS.. When i came to teh tank fight. Imagine this.
The part mentioned here WAS IN IT!!!!
He is riding along on his horse ,and stops a moment. Then races towards something. It then shows him leaning down from the saddle ,and snatching a rock off the ground as he goes by.
Next scene he comes up behind the tank ,and crams it into teh barrel ,and rides away in a easy away shot. Crosshairs line up on him..... ,and BAM. The gun explodes ,and (sparks?? Why sparks Not a electrical gun.lol) shower the inside of the tank!!!
It is a very old VHS (Probably THE first VHS tapes produced).
So i guess it was edited out later.
Not to change teh subject but it has happened a lot. Examples.
StarWars Episode IV. In teh new Version on Mos Eisly Greedo ,and Solo both fire at the same time..... In teh Origenol Hans simply aims under the table and smokes him!!!!!
Also on Episode 4 my new DVD's are differant than old VHS copies (Also first version from library). In teh orginal the X-wings leaving Yavine4 are mearly balls of light in teh distance. On the DVD's they added closeups of teh X-wings leaving..
Too ME it is sad all teh editing..... I want to see the ORIGANEL of the things...
Sniff sniff. Oh well.
P.S. Sorry for the long post especcially from a Newb. Just thought it interesting that stuff was edited so much!!

Fourthly, the scene you're talking about is on all copies of LC. The scene they talk about in the beginning of the thread doesn't even exist.

Ah yes. I see now. I thought he meant the entire rock-in-the-barrel scene!

Well, he saw Last Crusade when it was in the theaters. I'm guessing that (unless when he saw it he was younger that 3 years old) he's old enough...

yeah i know what you mean --- i thought when i was younger that there was a part in star wars that was cut out where luke first mets ben that luke asks what happened to the sandpeople and ben says that he made the noise of the of the krayt dragon and then cupped his hands over his mouth and created the sound again --- but i still remember seeing that! but maybe when i read the book it was in there and i just made a strong connection visually when i read it that it seemed like i saw it.....
