One thing really bothers me about LC. (No, not Allison Doody's crappy acting)
The fat kid at the beginning say "Indiana" to young indy about 50 times. OK WE GET IT! THAT'S YOUNG INDY!
OK, had to be done. Sorry.

Hmm... I think he was trying to tell you that was Indy... Ssstranggge...
No way! That character is great and is straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting.
His name is Herman. Remember? "Herman is horse-sick!"

Indiana. Indiana? Indiana. Indiana! ;)

I agree with Stoo, Herman was just about perfect, even the bugle spitting part. We all had the fat friend, or had to put up with the D.U.F.F. at some point.

I thought Alison's acting was on par with her colleagues. You're so mean!

sorry elsafan. I wanted to like elsa schneider, but her acting wasn't great in my humble opinion. Has she worked much since? Wonder why.

Five years after Last Crusade, Alison retired from movies to marry and have kids. She said it was never an option for her to continue doing movies and raise her two daughters at the same time. She wanted to be 100% present for them. Now that her children are old enough to go to school, Alison has more time for herself, and has recently decided to rekindle her acting career. She was in King Solomon Mines with Patrick Swayze in 2004 and in the TV series Waking the Dead this year. Her agents told me recently that she would be featured in an American movie next year. She's also being eyed as a potential candidate by the Harry Potter producers for a role in the next one.
Not bad?

Good for her. I hope she wins an Oscar (tm).

I found him kind of annoying as well. Not to the point of distraction, but I have known people like him (especially in Boy Scouts), but I found them annoying too, so I guess that's why it sort of bled over to characters acting like them in films.
Herman's great. Maybe we'll get an action figure of him. They made Porkins for Star Wars eventually...

I guess I'm the only immature jerk-off who laughs at "Allison DOODY".

I wasn't very keen on the character of Elsa Schneider, but it didn't have to do with the acting of Alison Doody. Her acting was perfectly serviceable. The character just wasn't too likable, she seemed untrustworthy and turned out to be one of the bad guys.

For what it's worth, I think Elsa is a wonderfully conflicted character and Alison did a great job with her. In ranking Indy's leading ladies I'd easily put her ahead of Willie -- the whole Nazi thing not withstanding, of course.

I thought Alison Doody did a fine job as Elsa, especially the "All I have to do is scream" scene.
