Have any of you guys checked out the Indiana Jones Wiki? The website is:

http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

It would be great if you guys could help out too. Expanding the Indiana Jones Wiki would be great. If we all band together, perhaps we can make a wiki that can rival the Star Wars Wiki "Wookiepedia". I'll be operating under the user name "Indiana Jones", so if you have anything to tell me about while you're editing on the wiki, feel free to leave a message on my talk page.

Let's improve this wiki!

Whipipedia, eh?

It's certainly a good idea, though I doubt there will be as much material as Wookieepedia (which is great fun for passing time, btw) since the world of Indiana Jones is a much smaller entity.

But it still doesn't prevent it from becoming a well-built wiki and a reliable reference. Definitely checking it out.

You can lose hours looking at Wookieepedia. Trust me I have. :o

Wookiepedia's awesome, but we can try to make the Indiana Jones Wiki just as awesome!

It needs a catchy name, for starters. "Indiana Jones Wiki" sounds just... moot.

The Indy Wiki is going fairly well, but we need more Indy fans to expand it.
Here's the website if you want to find out more:

What's wrong with using the original Whipipedia thread?

Merged.

How does Indypedia sound as a name for the Indiana Jones Wiki?:)

Finn

Unimaginative.

Its just that the name "Whipipedia" sounds kind of unusual.

Hey, whatever flys with the rest of you (and not counting just you and me). I came up with it, but I'm not promoting it or anything.

I just think it should be at least close to word "wiki", which "Indy" isn't. After all, they don't call the Star Wars Wiki "Lukepedia", do they?

And word "fedora" does not remind word "wiki".

Whipipedia sounds too much like an FAQ for the S&M crowd... and like fedorapedia focuses too much on one small aspect of Indy... You wouldn't want it called "Aldenpedia" would you?

"Indypedia" isn't half bad at all... Though it'd get confused with the wiki for independent music a lot, I'll wager....

Playing on the tag-line... "Adventurepedia"

Finn

Wikiraideria.

ClintonHammond

To build on that suggestion, Finn

"Raiderpedia"!

You may have noticed, I think the "Pedia" part is WAY more important than the Wiki part....

My favorite is Whipipedia.:whip:

Raiderpedia and Adventurepedia sound great!

Here are my top picks:

1.Indypedia
2.Adventurepedia
3.Raiderpedia

But let's get to the point. We at the Indiana Jones Wiki need more people to help edit and expand the wiki. Anyone up for the job?

Williepedia? (Just kidding, ow, actually I prefer Whipipedia.)

I love the format, probably next year all the new material will help it take off, but currently theRaider is the go-to source.

I really, really, really want it to be like the Star Wars wiki with much more information and less red links. I signed up as Raider88 a couple of days ago but I haven't had the chance to edit much but I will soon.

We've been working on it, bit-by-bit. Obviously, it'll never have the size or wide appeal of Wookieepedia or Memory Alpha, but it's really starting to develop into something interesting. :)

School's out for me so I'll probably begin writing real synopsis for each Marvel comic.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of Wikipedia?

After dipping my toes into Indy Wiki editing a while back I've been doing a bit more today, adding a couple categories and starting some (very preliminary) pages for characters I'm astonished didn't have any already. I do plan to work on it more extensively as time permits...

i don't like Whipipedia cause it doesn't automatically make me think "oh it's about indiana jones". i'd prefer Indypedia to that.

It says marion's 29 years older than mutt??? Indy is 39 years older.

I think I remember the age gap between Marion and Indy being 10 years. After all, if Indy, being born in 1899 (that's inescapable at this point), is 37 in Raiders, in 1936, then 10 years prior ("I've learned to hate you in the past 10 years), he would be 27. A 27 year old man and a 17 year old woman/girl ("I was a child, I was in love, it was wrong and you knew it!"), especially when the woman is the daughter of the man's mentor...that seems to square with what we know, and its being regarded as inappropriate by however many of those involved, seemingly all three.

I've been trying to add a bit more to the wiki lately, but there's still a great deal of work to be done. It's kind of astonishing just how many Indy universe elements have either stubs or no entries at all, to say nothing of all the editing and refining required for many existing articles.

Still, though, it's a nice start. I'm just surprised and disappointed at some of the shortcomings, given that it's been around almost four years now.
