Well, my ***** says otherwise.
Don't mean to get angry man, I'm just as sick of that expression as I am "jump the shark".
And I just find it alittle disrespectful to reduce Karen to simply 'the woman Indy fanboys wank over'.

Don't get me wrong, she's a fantastic actress. And to be honest Matinee Idyll, while she would consider the expression vulgar, I'm sure that secretly pretty pleased to know that so many fans think she's still hot.

Oh, of course. She's retained her stunning good looks - truly mesmerising.
But why that expression? It's so crude, and Karen certainly deserves better than that sortof inane, frat house label. It completely diminishes her skills as an actor, and cheapens her physical beauty. Surely there are better ways to say Karen is one of the more incredibly gorgeous women you've ever seen. Infact, I think I just found a better way. Not that hard.
Sorry for jumping down your throat there - Peace, A Theme.

The point of sites like these is people with a common interest discussing that interest. Some posts will be deep and meaningful for those who want to have a deep and meaningful discussion, others will be ones like this for those who just want a bit of fun.
Thats all this is, it was just a joke people are having a hissy fit over. If you want a discussion on narciccism of minor differences as it relates to Indy and Belloq or some sh*t go to another thread.

Karen Allen is one smoking hot 56 year old woman! She should always have the dark hair, it's by far a better look for her than the dyed blond highlights. The funny thing is just before this news broke I caught some of Starman on cable the other night, and I was appreciating how exceptionally hot she was in that film!

I'm an Alison Doody fan, so I'm a bit biased, but I gotta admit that Karen looks awesome for her age, much better than I expected. Heck, it seems as if she hasn't aged a single day since Raiders, which was a whopping 26 years ago... incredible. She did look weird at that Indiana Jones AFI reunion four years ago, and much older, funny how much you can look different from one pic to another. Might have to do with makeup.
Is it just me or are the Indy ladies looking younger with age? I can't account for Kate Capshaw, but judging from this recent picture of Karen Allen on the set of Indy 4 and the picture of Alison Doody taken this last May at a private party in Dublin (which I posted in another thread), man do they look good. But Alison is only 41, and Karen is 56, so I raise my hat to the latter for looking so lovely.

I understand both of your points. And please don't think that I dislike Capshaw's character (I mean, look at my avatar). I'm just saying that in terms of her dialogue and character development, it was pretty weak. She screams through most of the film (a point which Capshaw herself admits was annoying) and when she does finally achieve "toughness" and punches the guy, it seems almost unimportant. It goes by rather quickly, and then she doesn't do much else after that. Well, she kicks the Mola Ram's hands. I found her character funny, seductive, and relatable, but not very well written, especially when you compare her to Marion and Elsa. Marion was a tough girl who had a past relationship with Indy, and Elsa was someone who was torn between love and possessions. Willie had none of these traits. She was merely along for the ride, trapped in an adventure she wanted no part of.

I don't know that I ever had a "crush" on Marion/Karen Allen but I always had this thought of "Wow, a girl who goes adventuring, drinks tough sherpas under the table and punches out old boyfriends. I would So enjoy knowing a girl like that !". This doesn't mean to say that I ( the person doing the typing here) would actually ever MEET or find myself having a conversation with someone like Marion Ravenwood, but if I were a "pulp" adventurer like Indiana Jones SHE is the sort of girl i'd go for, rather than Willie or Elsa !

Not really "indy" related but have any of you seen the Australian movie "Sweet Talker" in which Karen Allen has a major supporting part ?
