This is not my source, but it is from a Star Wars Collecting board. The source found the image in the current Lee's Toy Review magazine. :D

They all look good, but why does Marion have such a large knife? I guess I'll be heading out to pick up a Lee's this weekend then.

Sweet jesus,I can not wait to get these!!!!
I really don't understand why Hasbro doesn't release these early.Wouldn't it be wiser to reintroduce the public into Indy before the Indy launch?

No, because people will see them on the shelf and go "what the heck are these?," leave them there to collect dust, and then the stores won't order anymore from Hasbro. But if the movie is being advertised, kids will know who that is and then they'll go "I want these!," they'll move off the shelf, stores will order more, and Hasbro will make more figures due to the success of sales.
I love the Indy in the jacket with the coiled whip. Too cool.

Better pic:)
Anyways.I understand what you are trying to say Katarn but I just figured it Hasbro would have done a preview wave like they did with each Episodes I-III.

Does anyone else notice that the gunbelts on the Indy figures have square buckles? Not a big problem. I'm still going to get 'em.

What's wrong with the gun holster buckle? Is it inacurate?
How exciting to have confirmation of a new figure and a fresher picture of the first wave. My God, I LOVE Indiana Jones!

I know, right? If there's 30 figures, how many are we getting from Raiders alone? I hope we don't get all RotLA and KotCS figures we could dream of, and then get shafted with ToD and LC with just Shortie and Henry or something. I can see Hasbro doing that.

I dunno.. TOD is pretty ripe with good figure possibilities.. Giant Thuggie and Mola Ram are givens.. but regular Thuggies and maybe one of those painted up ceremonial thuggies too... tons of possibilities actually... lets keep our fingers crossed

Yu are kidding right? Anyone who thinks indy figures would not sell if released in Jan is just plain off of the mark.

This coming from an Indy fan. Of course we're going to get them in January. We're talking on an Indiana Jones collecting board. What about all those young kids out there who have no clue who the guy is? They didn't grow up with them. Their parents might not be fans and therefore they've never been exposed to him. Why would they want to buy them? And Indiana Jones hasn't really been marketed all that much in the past decade. Hasbro really has no idea how well this line will be. I anticipate it'll do well, even without the new movie, but you never know. It could be a flop.
Obviously Hasbro knows what it's doing, and I understand their marketing practices. I've been collecting action figures for over half my life now and realize exactly what they're doing. The companies that don't go by this idea usually have their crap cluttering the aisles for months because stores can't get rid of it. But if a movie is coming out that same month, even if it doesn't fly off the shelf they'll most likely be able to move them after the movie's released.

That is a sound theory IF we were talking about the New movie figures.. The problem is HASBRO has stated that the Raiders figures are shipping WITH the New Movie toys.
Jan should have seen the release of the Raiders set with a refresh in Marchand Indy 4 toys in May.
Instead, the shelves will be CLUTTERED with pegwarmers from both sets at the same time in the same numbers. That IS NOT smart.

But as I've pointed out, mostly adults would show any interest in Indy figures. I can speak from personal experience on how few kids nowadays know who Indiana Jones is. I work 2 different jobs, both dealing with kids. All together I interact with 100+ kids. I can count the ones that know who Indiana Jones is on one hand!
So why would the Raiders ones sell in January without Indy IV around to introduce kids to Indy? If they did limited quantities (which they're probably not gonna do), then your idea sounds great! Sorta like "Sneak Peak" figures from all the prequel lines. Also, I agree that by mixing the waves isn't smart. They should release 10 or so Indy IV figures first, then the next waves could mix up the older movies in with new Indy IV figures. I think that would have worked better. 30 figures in one series tends to leave things around the store far longer than they should.

Who do you think is funding the Gi Joe line that is the hardest thing to find in ages? NOT KIDS!! do not underestimate adult colectors. As a matter of fact, the Kids still will not buy enough to clear the pegs of the overflow during the movie run.. Star wars is the most kid friendly Hasbro line and the kids could hardly help it.
I have seen this over and over from 1977 on......The indy line will sell VERY WELL WHENEVER it is released. However, the shelves will be clogged due to Hasbro releasing the classic line at the same time as the Movie line.

Plus dude, What do you think is going to sell Indy 4 as a whole? THE ORIGINAL TILOGY!! It's not like people HAVE NOT OR CAN NOT see the films. I think the biggest hole in your idea was the success of the Disney line...Those figures sold LIKE CRAZY!! the problem again with wave 2 was that they shipped Indy in too small of Numbers at 1st and he other 4 figures SAT there... Nobody wanted the supporting cast if they could not have Indy. Same asthe old Kenner line.

If you look at the list of biggest selling toys it is generated by one thing only. Kid customers and parents buying them as presents. It is utterly foolish to assume that the collector's market will dominate the sales of toys linked to a blockbuster movie.
Also, the suggestion that the interest in the toys will be generated by the original trilogy is pure stupidity. Hell, a kid born in the year LC came out is 19 now. Any kid old enough to have gone and seen it is way into their 20s now and those of us who were old enough to have seen the likes of ToD in the cinema are now well into our 30s. So, unless today's kids all have parents who watch the DVD box set a lot the only real exposure they'll have to the IJ property is when the new picture comes out and the huge media and marketing machine that will follow it makes it hard to miss.

I'm excited about Raiders Indy too, but I really, really, really REALLY WANT a Temple of Doom Indy (torn shirt, bruises and scratches, missing sleeve, holding a machete). IMO, Dr. Jones looks his most rugged, badass Quatermain-esque best in TOD, emphasis on the bridge scene climax. In this scene, Indy looks so friggin' COOL!!!!!

Lego doesn't seem concerned about shipping toys ahead of the new movie. Their first Indy sets are from Raiders and Last Crusade and they hit in January.

Thanks for backing me up on this. I made the same points, but maybe you have better word choice or something. I give up. It's pointless to argue about. We should just be happy we're getting any of these toys at all. May isn't that far away :)

ALL of you are CRAZY if you think that kids do not know who Indiana Jones is...If not for the DVD's, you have the disney attractions AND ACTION FIGURES look at ANY disney park and you will see kids buying the Indy figures....You also need to realize the importance of Collectors in hasbro's eyes..why do you think all of these Minor Characters from star Wars are being made? Not for Mom's and kids... Does Hasbro have weekly Q/A sessions with Parents and Kids? NO! they have them with US the collectors... I'm sorry but in this age, Unless you are Spider-man, Batman, Power Rangers, transformers and basic star Wars figures, Then Collectors make your lines go around.. Again, LOOK AT GI JOE!!
a few of you really need to look at the history of action figures and also look at the current state ofthe industry. It is so very simple and has been drawn out very clearly by companies such as Hasbro.
What is there to fight about? Be Glad that Hasbro looks to us to fuel their lines.. However, In the Indy line...how many of you are going to buy EVERY single figure when they release 15-20 figures counting the Indy 4 line within a 3 month period??? I know I am.. I am lucky though, I am able to do so...Many collectors can NOT do so...Thus, tehre are MANY unsold figures that Mom's don't want to buy and Collectors are not buying that clog up the pegs.
It is sooo SIMPLE!!!

OHHHH BAM!!! Damn Great point!! What more kid Focused line isthere than Lego? I guess the idea that the poor kids out there have never been exposed to Indy didn't fly with them now did it?
I guarantee you that kids know who Indiana Jones is...the kids form ages 6-13 can even operate a DVD player themself ( My 2 year old puts in the DVD's that she wants to wach even) They do not have to sit around and wait on good old Mom and Dad to slap in Raiders. PLEASE!! WAKE-UP!!

Of course kids know about Indiana Jones, I have cousins from 30 to 3 who know of Indy, TO 3! All my cousins I see the most are 12 to 3 and they all love to watch Indy, and they will be very excited when I tell them of these figures coming out, one thing aggrovating to me being a collector of fine figures like this is some people I know always say "Your too old to be getting toys!" How many times does that happen to you, annoying isn't it.

I can see it now in my next stop-motion animation figure film, Indy in the begining with Anakin for a guid going into a temple insted of getting the fertility idol he grabs a C-3P0 head, and insted of Belloq taking the idol from him Luke does, but this is merly speculation considering I havn't finished Indiana Stormie yet!

I'm pretty sure that was just an error in the list, which wasn't exactly "official". These rumor lists pop up online all the time for Star Wars figures with little errors like this. It's clearly Indy from the Peruvian temple at the beginning of ROTLA...what Hasbro will actually name him is anyone's guess, but I am 100% positive it won't be "Indy Temple of Doom" as listed in that rumor list.
