It started with me

This is the first time I've been here, so be nice--I'm an old man--almost 59. One of the threads here--I can't find it again!!-- had a big foofaraw about some Indy Fans' calling themselves by the collective name "Bud Arcs."

Anyway--I am "the Marvellite supreme who coined the immortal phrase Bud-Arcs," As Stan Lee put it in the letter column of the Marvel Indy comic.

I know it's close to "butt-ocks"--as I'm sure Stan realized. I guess he appreciated the value of a really groaner-y pun.

I seem to think it was in issue # 22. I know that Stan used the term a lot in that column and an issue or two afterwards. I lived at 3520 Benton Street in Santa Clara, California at the time.( My address was printed.)

Bud-arcs hmmm sounds interesting. I'll see if i can find it in my collection as well. Welcome back I guess?
