Merry Christmas everybody (even with a small delay!) and Happy Year End and Happy New Year to all!
I've decided to open this thread to fill with everything Indysh related to Christmas, to have our own "christmas decorations" here in the Raven... I start with a great find, a reference to Raiders of The Lost Ark in the opening credits of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" movie.
In the titles cartoon we notice a goofy Santa Claus accomplishing the impossibile mission of delivering some presents to the Griswald family. At the minute 1'00" we see him putting a fallen botton on the belly of a giant snowman... after that Santa hears a crumbling noise and turns back: the giant snowman has started rolling just as a "familiar" giant boulder and is now chasing him! The shots are pretty the same as the Raider's one... especially the moment when Indy/Santa turn their head to see what's happening at their back.
Take a look it's christmasy worthy! :)

It's nice, isn't it? I must say that the whole cartoon is quite funny and makes lots of references to other movies...
For instance, the candy used to swing down the cable of lights reminds me of the old 007 movies. Actually, in Temple of Doom we've got a similar scene, when Indy came down across the mine, hanged to a cable!! :whip:

Reminds me of Denise Richards, who played Christmas Jones, the topic of this thread, right?

Here we are, another Christmas ahead! :)
I propose a new christmasy-Indy-reference in a Disney classical cartoon: "Mickey Mouse - Once Upon a Christmas"...
From 2:38 start a sequence that is really based on Indiana Jones' saga. The reference makes really clear at 3:20... and at 3:32 we've got even a sountrack hommage to Raiders' March! In the DVD is very clear, but I found a clip in You-tube where you can hear and see it pretty clearly... enjoy!

"I thought Christmas only comes once a year"
-One of the all time most uncomfortable Bond lines ever.
Side note, yes, I love that homage in Christmas Vacation. That's a perennial Christmas favorite for me along with A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, and Die Hard(it's a Christmas movie, dang it!)

I love Christmas Vacation too... I really love it! By the way I've never heard before about "A Christmas Story"... seems interesting... Time to watch it!
