Have you heard of Jerry Prevo? That's the paster of the church I go to. He's the coolest paster I've ever heard. His church services are on TV. Oh, his church is called Ancharage Baptist Temple. It's huge

I have not heard of that church or pastor. But I will certainly look into it.

Yeah, lot's of people have. He's the kind of pastor where either you like himor you don't. Alot of people do not because he stays so firm in God's word people don't like it when he points out sinful things their doing (not any people specific just speaking on the subject of what it may be that their doing.) He's even had death threats made on him for his love of God. But he's really cool.

Yes we visited Bethlehem which is in Palestine (West Bank), met some Arab Christians. Went to the Katzrin, which is in the Golan Heights. Went to several other places as well. The Temple Mount was my favorite.

The Temple Treasures were awesome. the Menorah is huge!

Wow, that's pretty neat. I'm supposing the temple treasures are kept in Jerusalem? Any very old artifacts from before the temple was destroyed in 70 A.D.?

Yes, the treasures are in Jerusalem at the Temple Institute. As far as artifacts, they were everywhere. We visited many of the cities(ruins) in scripture and some that are not, Capernaum, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Karizem, Qumran, Ariel, etc.

I gather you mean Solomans temple? Because of so many fakes or 'modified' artifacts (making them look older, adding inscriptions etc) in Israel it makes it hard to evaluate any artifacts they do find. There may not be any physical evidence, thats survived this long, to prove that it even existed.

obviously we know it was there though but thats only due to what was written about it.

Hope you get to go man! The Temple that was destroyed in 70AD was King Herods. Solomons was destroyed much earlier and then rebuilt by Zerrebabel after Israel returned from their Babylonian/Persian captivity. That temple stood for 410 years. King Herod would later rebuild the temple and it stood for 420 year. Titus came in and destroyed it.
As for artifacts, they are there. In fact much has been found in a dumpile by the temple mount. Ofcourse the Muslims do not want anyone to find the artifacts or the ark. That would prove that there was a real temple and the land truly is Israels. By the way, the guide that was with us regularly talks with rabbis in the temple mount area. We were taken very close to where the holy of holies would have been on the mount. If the ark is under the temple mount, we were within yards of it. It was awesome.
check out www.templeinstitute.org regarding those artifacts, great site!!

Hmmm.

Saw a program last year regarding zionist nut jobs that wanted what currently stands on the mount to be demolished. i.e. the 3rd holiest site in Islam, so that they can fulfill some psycho prophesy that only after the temple of soloman is rebuilt can jesus come back and bring about the rapture. Sadly there was some evangelical american christians that also wanted this would give copious amounts of money to the zionists to bring about "end times"

Thankfully in what is possibly their only display of graciousness the Israeli government forbids attempts by zionists to impose themselves on the mount. And most "reasonable" rabbis and christians concur that attempting to demolish the 3rd holiest site in islam would be a pretty dumb and aggressive move to make which would no doubt result in one gigantic hellacious war. (which is exactly why the fundamentalist christians and jews want to do it.. )

So yes, rather a touchy subject i should say?

Yes, it is a touchy subject. I am totally against having a third temple just to quicken the return of Christ. I think that is rediculous. Dont get me wrong, I want Christ to return, but on His own timing.
As far as demolishing the dome of the rock, that would not be necessary. There are three theories of where Solomons temple used to stand on the temple mount. I will not go into all of them, but one of those can have the third temple and the dome both there at the same time. Court of the Gentiles?
