ROTLA:
Only moment I wanted to cheer is when in the truck sequence when Indy is thrown out and then crawls back in and mess up that Nazi before throwing him out the same way made me want to cheer.

TOD:
-The best moment of the movie is when Indy is in the shadows and the light from the mine cart slowly reflects him and gives a look like Moses or as Samuel Jackson put it in Attack of the Clones, "Party's over" look that makes me want to cheer everytime I watch that.
-Indy recovering from the Voddoo injury ang gives the slave master a solid beating (so does Short Round) felt like something out of a Popeye cartoon where Popeye finally whoops Bluto's tail and Olive Oyl cheering him on, Willie is Olive Oyl in that moment made me want to jump up and down.

LC:
-First time I watched this I cheered at Indy telling Donovan off at the castle about Marcus's skills and abilities then when I saw Marcus fumbling over himself I felt kind of let down a bit.
-Sentimental moment where Henry Sr. hugs Indy after the tank falls off the cliff and says cheerfully, "I thought I lost you boy!"
-I almost cry when Henry Sr. says Indy's name over the cliff and Indy just looks so a taken aback and at that moment it looks as though he was 13 again.

For some reason I often come near to cry when a movie shows a deep emotional impact on a father-son relationship. The Lion King, i.e., when Mufasa first is angry with Simba for disobeying, and then when they start to play the tear is almost there.

So in LC I really feel the moments when Henry Sr. slaps Indy "that's for your blashphemy", the "I thought you lost, boy", and when he calls his son "Indiana", when he's hanging by a slippery hand.

Ah, for those who ask, the relationship with my father is and has always been great :)

ROTLA: Defenetly want to cheer after Indy makes off with the Ark in the truck.

TOD: I always find it really touching when Indy places Short Rounds hat back on his head after he gets the stones back, mosty because of the music.

TOD: Also want to cheer when Indys swinging onto that rope chasing the mine cart, the music once more, although it only last afew seconds it's my favorite music in the whole trilogy.

LC: After Henry gets shot and is leaning on Idys shoulder and all he can get out is "..Junior" that's always sad.

Oh yeah and like Yure said, when Henry calls Indy, "Indiana" for the first time.

In LC, the aforementioned moments no question. But there is another one, more nuanced that gets me.

When they crash and they're on the beach and henry Jones Sr goes down the beach, opens his umbrella, shooes the birds into the Nazi Messerschmitts, and makes the quote about remembering his Charlemagne. When Conncery makes that quote, the reaction from Indy is just profound.

The look he gives his Dad is so multi-dimensional, a look of admiration, just being stunned, and a real emotional invested point in the film. He understands the application of all of that which he-and his father--have learned and the parallels are more than their differences.

Touching moment, albeit brief.

There are so many iconic moments, but off the beaten path....

In Raiders when Indy's silhouetted head perks back up and he asks "What truck?!", I always get a chill and if I'm down, that scene picks me up...that line and Ford's delivery of it picks me up.

After all the character has been through, all he needs is a chance and he's ready to go after it. There's a huge life lesson in those two little words, yes? ;)

^ I completely agree with that. I LOVE that line. And the look is perfect silhouetted.

The scene where Belloq turns to the Hovitos and raises the shimmering idol. I always cheer when Jones stumbles to his feet and dashes off. Just a genuine Jones moment.:whip:

The end of TOD when they return to the village. In fact, I think TOD has the best ending scene of all the three films. (Don't worry, I know I'm alone in thinking that.) Agreeing with everyone on the LC father/son drama -- my eyes even teared up a bit when I watched it the other day.

Oh yeah, and the map room scene in Raiders never fails to give me highbeams.

Oh yeah and like Yure said, when Henry calls Indy, "Indiana" for the first time.

Nice effect by dulling all other sounds and shaking...Even though the building is going to hell in a handbasket, the only thing that Indiana hears is his Dad calling him by 'Indiana.'

I don't know if there's a better son/father relationship on screen -- humorous, adventurous, competitiveness, annoyance, admiration, respect, Grail vs family...so many aspects portrayed in LC.

Great job by Connery and Indiana.

The sequence in RAIDERS when Indy rides off on the horse in pursuit of the truck, with all of the arabs standing up and cheering.

When Indy is running from the Hovitos and screaming at Jock to start the engine. It pretty much tells you everything you need to know about this guy who is always getting in over his head.

Indy swings back into the truck and just starts bashing that Nazi's head against the dash.

Indy climbs on the sub, looking totally exhausted, and is cheered on by the Bantu Wind's crew.

TOD
Indy translating the Shaman's tale of the missing stone. One of my favorite 'Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones' moments.

"May be...but not today."

Indy watching his options rapidly dwindle on the rope bridge, and simply muttering, "Oh ****." (This one's more of a moment that makes me grin- similar to the Hovito chase.)

TLC
Fedora placing the hat on Henry Jr.'s head, and Indiana Jones raising his head to grin at the camera.

Indy stealing the horse, backhanding that Nazi across the face, then riding out to rescue his dad from the German tank.

"Indiana...let it go."

KOTCS
Indy running across those crates and swinging his way to freedom.

Marion's smile when Indy tells her what was wrong with all his other women.

Indy taking his hat away from Mutt, as if to say, "Not today, kid."

KOTCS

Marion's smile when Indy tells her what was wrong with all his other women.

Yes! I had an idiotic grin plastered on my face not dissimilar to her own at that part.

Fedora placing the hat on Henry Jr.'s head, and Indiana Jones raising his head to grin at the camera.

I forgot to mention that, The graverobber tells him, "You lost today, kid, but it doesn't mean you have to take it," (I thought if I carried around that philosophy I be a better man than I am now), then he puts the signature fedora on Young Indy's head with the familiar theme music slowly creeping up and fast forward to 1938 where Indy is wet and beaten but tenacious as ever and I wanted to cheer, "Go Get em' Indy!"

I want to cheer went Indy steals the horse in Raiders and rides away as the mass of people stand up shouting. Also the "look again" line on the ship. That movie is full of so many epic/classic moments. (Top.. Men.)

And every time I watch Kingdom I love when he swings towards the car on the crates. Its a great Indy cue.

Um well there are to many moments for me to list so I will go with the ones that had me on the verge of tears.

LC: When Indy and his dad just outrun the Nazis and they are at the crossroads and Indy argues with his dad and goes " This is an obsession I never understood it.......... and neither did mom" For some reason that always made me sad

I really like the part if TOD, where Willie says "Now let's get out of here" and Indy replies "All of us", refering to the slaves as well, I always thought that was a nice scene. I also think that scene is one of the closest times we get to seeing Willie as something other than a constantly screaming woman.

In Raiders, the scene that makes you come close to crying I think, is where Indiana and Marion are stood tied up on the pole, just after the Ark has destroyed the nazi's , and they have tears and fear in there eyes, but it is silent as the ark sits in the background - all innocent.

In the Last Crusade, I always find the scene where Indiana suddenly takes Elsa's position, and he tries to grab the grail down the fissure, and Henry tells him to let it go. It is touching on many levels, letting eternal life go, and also seeing Henry really care for Indy. Also, thanks to the Crystal Skulls release, I think these touching Crusade scenes mean even more now, knowing Indy loses his dad by then. Seeing that photo of Henry (and Marcus) in the Crystal Skull to the Illumination theme from Crusade is really touching, and I know when I see that part, I can't help but think of the entire epic adventure Indy and his dad went through together. I also can't help but feel somewhat sad on a personal level, knowing people I used to watch the original movies, especially Last Crusade, are no longer around to see the new one with me, but they did hear the Illumination theme, that cameos in Crystal Skull.

My cheer moments are all from Temple of Doom.

-When Indy comes out of the Black Sleep and starts flinging Thuggee into the crevasse. Great effects, great energy (mostly provided by the Thuggee worshippers on the opposite side yelling in an uproar), Indy getting his own back.

-When Indy and Short Round give each other their hats back. I like the the slow rendition of the Indy theme here and when they hug.

-"Now let's get out of here." "Right. All of us." Then cut to a kid falling down, and two Thuggee haul him to his feet and stop, and there's Indy standing there and POW! They go flying. :)

-And finally, just in general the scenes of the kids being set free, overrunning the guards and beating them down and escaping, and finally returning to the village at the end.

My all-time favorite is in TOD when Shorty burns Indy with the torch and says "Indy, I love you." Then we see him snap out of the trance and he says "No...he's mine."

When Indy holds Shorty over the edge and winks and says "I'm alright, kid." Cue the music and let the butt-whopping begin.

Priceless.:whip:

Ah! Finally a board to talk about tasty things from the movies! :p

ROTLA-

Definally a cheering moment in the very beginning with idol. It was really one of the best scenes with Indy, total yay moment when he escaped the bolder.

When Indy rushed in with the gun and stopped Toht before he burned Marion, and the huge fight broke out!

One upsetting scene was when the truck exploded, I really liked Marion's character and her stubbornness. It was really sad when I had thought she got killed, but I was like 'SHELIVES!!' when she turned out to be okay. Glad to see her around to smooch on Indy some more. ;)

The opening of the Ark. Oh my word, by far one of the most amazing scenes I have seen in a movie in a long time. When God says don't touch or open something, you don't do it! I'm glad to see those guys got their justice, face melt for the win. It was nasty, but they were messing with things which they shouldn't have been.

TLC-

Ah. My favorite movie of the series. They'll be a lot to name here.

I really liked the beginning when Fedora gave him the trademark hat, and he looked up at the camera and grinned that grin only Indiana could give.

"My father was searching for the grail, did you kill him too?!" A very intense scene, I may be one of the few, but I did like the boat scene. It had very nice scripting, espcially with the "My soul is prepared, how is yours?" line.

Henry and Indy meeting up for the first time in twinty years. Their interaction with the vase mixup, the journal scene, and the Nazi shootings. Their diolog was hilarious! "Look what you did! I can't beleive what you did!" You have to love Indiana's spur of the moment actions.

Sallah trying to protect Marcus, it was a cheering moment for a while...that is until he put him on the Nazi truck by mistake!

The scene on the beach, with Indy and Henry out in the open, and Henry, in a very swift act, makes the seagulls glog the plane and makes it explode in a fiery blaze. The expression Indy has right afterwards is just beautiful, a look of amazment and awe.

A very emotional scene was when Henry thought Indy was killed though, it really reminded me of a scene from another one of my favorite shows, and I think that's why I loved it so much. Henry finally understanding just how much his son meant to him, and how it would hurt him to lose him.

And the hug afterwards is just so touching and sweet. Indy finally getting the love he longed for from his father for so long. Love it!

Although, I must say that it was really upsetting when Henry got shot! :( Donovan was a very wicked little...ya know what! It really broke my heart to watch the scene. The raw emotion really made me feel sorry for them. Donovan should know that the way to get things is not to shoot the father when the son is standing right there, because sooner or later you're going to get it!

One touching scene, that ranks right up there as my favorite has to be when Henry called Indiana by his name for the first time. The look he gave his father was just adorable, Henry knew what was more important in his life, so it was just a beautiful scene to watch, makes me cheer in happiness everytime I watch it!
