Shia's Name, Link?

Sorry if this has been posted already but just wondered if anyone noticed the link in Shia's charactewrs name.

Indy was named after a dog and Shia's character chose the name Mutt. Think it was intentionally done like that?

Not only is Mutt also a dog's name, it's probably based on some crewmember's dog like Indiana was Lucas', Short Round was screenwriter Huyck's and Willie was Spielberg's...
