I know alot of you out there are probably against the idea of having something permanently scarred on your body. I for one am against them if they have no meaning. I only have a couple, but all of which have great meaning to me. I've been contemplating for a couple years now on what "Indy" tat I would get.
So far, the best I've come up with is a black & white of the fertility idol. Everyone who has seen rotLA know its an Indy icon. I know the whip or hat is way more symbolic, but personally I dont want a whip or hat tattoo.
Any ideas? Help!

Staff of Rah headpiece?
It's pretty, and most people wouldn't immediately recognize it as being from Indy.

that is a great idea! I just showed it to a relative who hasnt seen the films in at least 10 years, and asked if it was white supremacy. LOL. Not a good first thought. Maybe the eagle kind of gave that thought? That is awesome though... I'll look into it.:)

The boulder chase is pretty iconic, if the artist could pull something like that off.

Yeah the boulder chase would be rad! Only it would take up so much room. The Indy tat is going to try to be put on my tricep. That would be sweet though if done right.

I think something like this on the bicep, inside of the forearm, or back of the neck would be cool:

Yeah, I imagined a silouhette (spelling yikes) sort of thing, with Indy in the foreground. I bet you can find usable stuff all over the place online.
OR
Do one of Indy with the Staff and the beam of light shining through.
Or hell, just the Ark.

Where did that logo come from, even? I know it's all over the place since the KOTCS site went up, but was it around before that?

^Frankly I remember something similar the Disney parks made for their Indiana Jones adventure wear that they sold outside the stunt show and ride.
Hey Noobs,
You want to see some insane Indiana Jones tattoos?
Check out this thread:

(Namely, post #2 & #57)

(like on Nurchachi's jacket) is awful. This one is a bit better.

stoo, that link u put up is awesome! The idol looked pretty rad on that guys arm. So did the Grail scene. I like that logo too. But after seeing the idol on that guys arm, I narrowed it down that much more. But I still have to think about it and make sure.

Wow! Beautiful work. My husband got his first (and only) tattoo for his 30th birthday and I will be 30 this year. I've been thinking about it, I just don't know what yet.
We have a friend who is a very talented comic book artist http://www.samhiti.com and my husband commissioned him to do the art and then took it to a tattooist.
This is obviously not Indy related, but I bet he could come up with something interesting!!! (This is my husband's tat.)

Thanks! Nope, we're in Minnesota. We have family in San Diego though and have gone out there a few times.

awww that's too bad. I want to find a good artist for my Indy tat. All my other ones are pretty simple, so it wasn't a big deal. If your friend ever travels out to california, let me know!

Well you can always email Sam. He didn't do the actual tattooing. He drew the picture, we paid for the picture, and then took it to a tattoo parlor.
