"Riding off into the sunset" is a great ending for the trilogy, but I went with the Raiders Warehouse because I love the irony and the way the scene is played out following the "top men" line and the conversation out on the steps: the music swells as the stencil is taken off and it is wheeled into- what is revealed to be a huge warehouse filled with identical crates. Great ending to a great movie.

Raiders ending because of the music, the "twist" and because it was a wtf ending.

Definitely Temple of Doom's ending. And actually right before the total end scene, where Indy gets to the top of the ladder and Short Round and Willie are standing, he shows one of the Stones he managed to save and they all start laughing. But when all the kids crowd around them, with Short Round on the elephant, it's such a happy ending, relieving in a way almost. I mean how easy could it have been to just leave after he saved Willie and go get the troops to check out the temple? Nah, Indy tooled them himself. Love this movie.

Last Crusade ending for me because it felt like THE END for the trilogy and I think John Williams also thought so because the theme music swells up big time!! Also beautiful cinematography of the boys riding out into the sunset makes me have goosebumps just watching the end! The Raiders come in second because I kept thinking where is it being stored at; and I know this ending IS A BIG reference to the Citizen Kane ending.

Sunset has always been the perfect ending. It FELT like the last time you'd see Indiana Jones. Ever. The credits roll and you watch these characters you've got to know for the past two hours get further and further away. You want to follow but you can't. And as they get further away you know this is the last time you'll see them. Then the screen fades. Williams score helps the impact of this as well.

Which is why it's the best.

I'm a romantic, i thought it was great finally seeing Marion and Indy tie the knot. It seemed fitting since the Indiana Jones character has indeed changed and matured over the years. Plus it showed him actually discovering that he still had a family, despite the loss over his father and Marcus.

The part where Mutt almost puts on the hat is pretty awesome too!

Riding off in the sunset, that was brilliant! I also liked the Ark in the warehouse though. The other two were just too... i don't know.. sweet? (but i liked the movies, don't worry)

Crusade ending was the best, because it was the last time we were suppose to see them. Oh sure, they go on lots of adventures throughout the years, but you won't be able to see it. Only in your novels/video games/tv shows/comics/etc, but not on the silver screen again. The John Williams music helps that fact because its EPIC.

Kingdom was second best to me, because Indy finally finds something he was looking for all along: a family. Yeah its a Spielberg ending, but I don't care, I love it. Plus, the whole Mutt getting the hat and then Indy taking it away was awesome.

Raiders would be next, just because its so out-there, but really cool at the same time. Temple would be last just because I hate Willie and those stupid Indian kids were really cheesy.

It has to be the Raiders ending. Nothing beats the original on any level. :whip:

So true. I remember the impact it always had on me before getting any news of a possible fourth episode. A perfect "goodbye fans" end.

Seriously? I was the second person to vote ToD? I love that scene where she storms off and he snags her with the whip, pulls her close, tips his hat back, and goes in for the kiss. And the kids crowding around them and them all laughing manages to make me smile every time. I can't say the same for RotLA's or LC's endings as good as they are.

LC Ending, the sunset is just pure win.

I liked the Raiders end scene the best. Still to this day, feels fresh and different, he futility of going through all that just for the ark to be boxed up in some warehouse.

Riding off to the sun set, any movie can do that one.

I do like the marriage because it makes the series feel less episodic, Indy actually tieing the knot, Mutt trying to take the hat... not yet, Jr! haha.. It's a close second for me. Also, the creative forces admitted that Ravenwood was the best, really, the only love interest worth anything to the series.

Is there any doubt Temple is my least favorite. I couldn't even remember what it was until I read the poll. Hahaha

I love all the endings but I must Raiders is the best. It to me had the most punch. Almost a Twilight Zone ending.

The Radiers ending is just so pitch perfect, that to compare it to the other films is unfair to the other films. That said, I do prefer the ending to Temple, in that yes, it makes me smile like a five year old boy. It's just a happy friggin' ending, and thank god because they went through hell to get there.

Raiders has the best ending; Temple has my favorite, so I voted Temple.

The warehouse ending is probably the best. However, riding off into the sunset is the most heroic, old western ending - so that's my favourite.

You know I never think of the warehouse scene when I think of the Raiders ending, I always think of the steps, when Indy holds am arm out and Marion grabs it and they walk off together, that scene was so classy, I love it!! But I also really really love the wedding ending so those two endings are my favorite!

the sunset ending makes me sad for some reason

and the TOD ending has cheese all over it

It's difficult to decide, although having Indy and Co. ride off into the sunset in LC is probably my favorite. However, I really liked the ending for KOTCS too and the ending of Raiders is just incredible.

For a long time, it was Crusade. The sunset shot looks fantastic. However, it's Kingdom now. The hat scene is pure Indiana Jones for me. The tension, the grab, Indy's expression, the music - all of it - perfect.
