I think the portuguese have far too much respect towards the germans. It seems to be a complex, pretty much like the one the brits have when it comes to penalties :P

The Portuguese team is staying at a hotel a few streets away from me in Neuchatel.
This town has been like a zoo all week! Germany is now leading 3-1 and I think it's curtains for Portugal tonight.

Holland have played the best football but I'm not sure who will go on to win it yet. I expect a few upsets.

Ok, to be honest, they are playing very well. We had some bad years but is this going to be our year? After 20 years? (1988, European Champion)....

Saturday it's going to be against the Russians, who have a Dutch coach. that's going to be a fun match..

I can't believe Croatia just lost their penalty shootout. Holy ****. What a boring game until those two goals were scored (and Türkiye did it again!) in the last minutes of extra time. Incredible. In a way I feel sorry for Croatia - I actually thought they'd be able to reach the final with this strong team. But, well ...as they say ...you've got to score a goal to win a match.

Germany is going to implode (literally) next wednesday!

Ok, to be honest, they are playing very well.
It certainly is a treat to watch them play!!! I hope they'll kick the current world champion out once they reach the semi-finals. lol :)

This afternoon, I watched the first 60 minutes of the Croatia-Turkey game, then caught it again at minute 115. While Croatia celebrated in minute 120, I left the game. Then I found out Turkey had won.

Yes, quite an unexpected performance from russia. This EM seems to have the feature of strong teams to be kicked out while the "weaker" teams that had a very bad start grow strong :p

Russia were my tip from the start to be the dark horses. They have a quality team.

As for Ronaldo he is many things but he is also probably the most gifted footballer in the world.
