Don't we find signs of life on Mars like every five years or so?

Apparently, we should be far more excited this time.

There's a good foot of water in my basement. Am I to assume that there is life down there also?

it something to know. it might actually benefit us in the future. the only other planet that we could possibly exist on is Mars after all and its interesting to see how our information about Mars continues to grow.

i agree that there's no other life form like ours in the galaxy but i wont totally throw the idea out. we're one fragment of a huge universe.

people who believe in 2012 are the same people who believed in Y2K. someone at one point of another had predicted the world was going to end. yet as we all know its never true.

Y2K was the fear that the new millenium would horribly screw up our technology because the computers had been, as I understand it, not programed to except the year 2000. Instead they would think it was like 1900 or something and massivly screw our lives up. Theres probably someone who can elaborate on that or better state it.

Since we are on the subject of extra terrestrial life I would simply like to state that our planet Earth is one of 8 (more or less) planets in our solar system which is one of thousands in our galexy which is one of hundreds of trillions (that we know of) in our three dimesional universe. And if you figure that this solar system has one planet of "life" on it and you figure in what I said above, statistically there are hundreds of billions of Earth like planets out there.

Have you seen these geometrical designs in the Martian soil caused by the presence of water? It's pretty cool stuff.

Well you all saw KOTCS, if those aliens happen to be inter-dimensional like on the movie, no way in heck am I going. They might show me a thing or two I didn't know before. But I'd rather not be evaporated with mind powers. However, if the alien makes a angry face and shakes a little like in KOTCS, I'm in.
