There was a Lego Indy "movie" that aired on Cartoon Network last year. I think you can still find clips of it on the internet.

Which sword would that be?
I remember the Bible mentioning two cherubs with flaming swords standing guard over the enterance to the Garden of Eden.

The biblical stuff has been done. I think a chinese legend or mystical artifact should be explored.

I also think the enemies should not be nationalistic, but a new kind of enemy.

I think they should do a film About Greece about the Trojan War that they must fine the Horse the greeks used in Battle:)

I would think Indy should look for an artifact that's important to him. He always seems to be helping someone else find what they want. I'm sure someone like Indy would have that one special item he'd love to find. I know the Cross of Coranado & the fertility idol both had meaning to him. However I'd like to see something new to find.

First off, it's a she. Second off, you're right. I'm perfectly willing to admit when I've taken something too far. And for the record, aside from Indy, Mutt is my favorite character in the series. I loved KOTCS, and I'll be the last person to bash it.

Back on topic, I'd like for Indy V to give Indy the send-off he deserves. Something akin to the ending of TLC. Not quite sure what artifact he could go after; I'm not exactly up on my world history, but perhaps the sword of Alexander or the shield of Achilles. The biblical stuff has been used enough. I'm not sure Mutt could carry the series on his own, but show me some major kick-ass action scenes and maybe I'll reconsider.

I've never played FOA, but why not go with it? It'll please the fanbase, and provide one hell of a send off! Just keep the '50s setting.

Plus there's already a story and the script could be penned right away. It would be a done deal.

And it would win over the group of fans who disliked KOTCS if done right.

We should make a petition for this!

You know if Mutt is in the next movie he will be different. I think with Indy's influence and more education Mutt would give up the whole biker thing and beinspired to greatness. It's very possible he'd become an evil dictator. As we all know George Lucas loves to have familiar patterns in his stories. Indy needs it own Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader maybe Mutt is that character!

I seen people pitch ***** fests when someone don't like a certain character from a certain series.

Some people go extreame lengths and pretty much harass and wish death upon others for opinion.

Ninjas I say! ...and bring back Short Round, but this time as an evil military officer out for revenge for Indy abandoning him so many years ago. But seriously, I'd like to see Indy back in Asia again... maybe going after some kind of Buddhist artifact? (though, honestly I can't think of any) Oh, and more subterranean sets/locations...

Which reminds me... I've always wanted to get around to reading the 90s Dark Horse comics (maybe because of the cool cover artwork?) and then finally the other day I decided to start off with Thunder in the Orient. Oh... man... it... was... bad... (put it this way, if you're one of those people who thought Temple of Doom was filled with too many elements of racism and/or stereotypes then I'd say avoid TitO like the plague...) What was it they were going after? The Buddha Covenant(!)?... Meh, I don't know... there's got to be something better than that out there...

Fine, I'll bite:

Given the sense of humor the films have, I'd like to see Indy accidently flip a cigarette out of someone's mouth as he draws back to crack his whip.

I'd like to see him punch a guy in the face so hard, it knocks the guy out of one of his shoes. (Saw it happen for real once...it was Bad Ass).

I'd like to see a POV shot of Indy staring down the sights of his pistol while shooting someone and swinging by his whip.

I'd like to see a woman punch him in the face again.

I would like to see Indy smile after dispatching a baddie like he did on the motorcycle in LC again.

I'd like to see Indy kill some more people :o .

I'd like to see Indy in disguise again.

Need more? Maybe tomorrow, but not today...

A serious approach, Indy facing off against former student(s). A torn Indy admitting he was wrong about things, (in the classroom, in the field, at home) but not regretting. To see him as resigned, and for whatever reason, hopefully not another rescue mission, resolved and then hardassed. Maybe the mercenary theme, fortune and glory, comes back into play as a temptation and not something he could conquer over the course of a single film. Address the theme of selling out and then have him realize it looked better then it actually was.

03-23-2009, 06:29 PM
HEY! I love Indy's Brother idea to have him swing in his whip and shoot at the same time! Damn, what a fine idea.

I want to see Indy on a really tough mission, like he was on in Raiders. I want to see more scenes without dialogue, carried only by the music, acting and cinematography. That's what made the classic moments.

And I think we can leave the Biblical stuff behind. 2 movies is enough. There are plenty of other myths and artifacts to explore. It has to stay pagan.

I was just pondering something. There hasn't really been any movies that have approached the topic of the Bermuda Triangle (at least none that I can think of). Hmmm, Indiana Jones and the Bermuda Triangle or Indiana Jones and the Devil's Triangle?

Methinks the Triangle is an untapped area for some great stories.

You know what?! I actually thought they could have touched that subject with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! Bermuda's triangle and aliens go so well together. I think it would've made it a bit more interesting, having something that is a mystery in real life, explained in a semi sci-fi movie like Indiana Jones. I think it would've worked perfect, and maybe those poor unfortunate souls that didn't liked the movie might have found it a little bit more realistic, and a little bit more interesting. Plus, it would explain more the "pathway to another dimension" thing. Oh well.

Short Round
