Indy is Steve. Last Crusade turned Marcus into a Stu.

I'm not an extremist, I consider myself to be "Stuve". With the exception of Indy himself, most steves are kind of d-bags.

What an incredibly stupid idea. You're either a cool guy or Gomer Pyle? Seriously? Nobody is one or the other.

So you're not a Steve?

Steve drink beer, Stu drinks fruity tini
Steve doesn't take all this so seriously, Stu judges a book by it's cover

Sounds like a frat-boy version of Goofus and Gallant.

I wasn't taking it seriously, I was just pointing out that everyone wants to be a Steve. Nobody watches a James Bond movie and goes "Wow, I have so much in common with the goofy sidekick that gets killed off after a couple minutes." But at the same time, nobody goes "Wow, James Bond is leaping across a construction site, just like I was earlier today!" I'm also fairly certain that Bond never asked for a beer that was shaken, not stirred.

The essential flaw in the logic of the Steve/Stu thing is that nobody fits into just one category. We all have areas where were are a Steve and other areas where we are a Stu.

Indeed, as noted by "Indy's Brother" and "Niteshade," by viewing the world this way, where men must fit into one of the two categories, you're seeing in only black and white, and not noticing the shades of gray that are reality, and thus you create a false dilemna, an either-or fallacy.

This scene is pure crap.

The 3 guys in the clip...all Stu's...by their own logic. Dave stood up against them and walked out. That makes him the man who stands alone and therefore a Steve.

I dont know this show but the fat scruffy sweaty guy doing the talking about "getting the girsl" seems to be someone who has yet to reach the grade of Stu.

Put some beer in a guy and the verbal effluence flows!

I can't see 007, Indy or the "steve's" talking cr@p like this.

A real "Steve" (if such a man exists) wouldn't care enough to categorize himself in a such a way as to be judged by his lessers.

I was thinking the same thing. I was like "Really, fatty, you're a Steve? Women just flock to you, do they?"

You guys are not in the spirit...

Is the value of '*' really an 'o' ?

...as in sh'o't?

and would that be when denying a measure of scotch at a bar at last orders to someone who has drunk far too much?

(i.e) i couldn't give a shot?

Please clarify!?

you drink beer?Naturally...it's "Canada's Favourite Sport"! Here's the song (http://beemp3.com/download.php?file=1763639&song=Canada's+favourite+Sport):

Anyway, there are a lot of tough Stus out there:
Disco Stu from "The Simpsons"
E.B. White's, "Stuart Little"
Stuart Smalley from "Saturday Night Live"
The dead, female astronaut from "Planet of the Apes":dead:
etc.

You have to admit, those characters are pretty hard-boiled!:p

They both wear too much eye makeup, well wore...

Wow, and I thought you were being ballsy posting Disco Stu! Allan Quatermain! Indy's half uncle on his mother's favorite pet side? Maybe that was Richard Chamberlain?

Lest we forget Jon Stewart...(he CHANGED his name to STU!)?

Still, I prefer Steve Colbert, and Steve Carell!
