View Full Version : If they make Indy 5 or Mutt Williams spin off,who should be Mutt's love interest?

For the record,I'm not a Shia fan but,I didn't mind the character Mutt too much.The one I grew up watching was Harrison as the adventurer,not Shia.So anyway,I just started thinking about possible love interests for Mutt and I think Ashley Tisdale would be a good candidate,she is a good actress,even though she does more comedy than anything but,none the less she can be diverse and I think this would be a good genre for her to prove that(I can just imagine her in a poodle skirt,or poodle shaped skirt,and a pony tail).I would very much like to hear my fellow Raven members opinions.Who do you think would be a good love interest for Mutt?

Guess you thought you were gonna get serious replies, huh? :rolleyes:

I can't see the role ever being seriously reprised, so it's hard for me to envisage any love interest for a one film only charatcer.

Mutt is a support role. His love interest would be a smaller almost pointless role. Unless we go down the Mutt spin off guff.

It's kinda like asking who would play Jar Jar Bink's love interest. :sick:

I think the fans spoke loud and clear enough for the role to be reduced to a glorified cameo.

Maybe Short Round would have more of a shot at a reprised role and love interest?

Mutt might be luckier....:confused:

But then I don't recall Old Indy in YIJC ever mentioning a son..does he in the novels? So, maybe his character isn't destined to survive long enough for hims to have one?

Or, maybe I am just too old to know any young actresses suitable for the role!

Two reasons that wouldn't work;


1) When it came to the scene where lil' tight pants greaser kisses the boy-woman love interest, the force of Mutt's eager lips would cause Zac's face to dent in like a Ken doll.

2) Standing under those stage lights too long would result in Zac's meticulous pretty-boy face to melt, and you can't rehash old pieces from the films... I mean, that's just distasteful.

It would be hilarious if Mutt was in love with Belloq's daughter and we found out that the mother is Marion from when her and Belloq were in the tent. That would be just ****ed up.

You're right,Mutt doesn't need a love interest.He proved that in Crystal Skull and I personally don't care if they give him one or not.But were just pondering who would make a good one if they would give him one.

Ellen Page? I like her but she's a big no no with me. I could kind of see her as Indy's daughter though. She plays spunky characters and comes off as a tomboy. But that won't happen. So other then that, for some reason she just doesn't "fit" right now.

She would be more likely too old for Mutt (Jack Shannon and Katrina get together in the 20s). As to when they have Noah, is debateable, but ultimately, likely to be a couple of years after Genesis Deluge. Most couples tend to try to have kids close together in age so one would reason that a daughter would probably be likely to be born a couple of years after Noah (whose middle name is named after Indy, Noah Indiana Shannon).

Actually, Emma Watson who plays Hermione isn't that much younger than Shia. She's 20 and Shia is now what 23. Not exactly Marion/Indy age difference which is more like 10 years.

While Shia LeBeouf enjoys some popularity now, I don't think he could pull in the vast Indy audience alone. I think he'd need a fairly well-known supporting cast.

Emma Watson would be a great choice, although I get the "serious actor" vibe from her, meaning she might be reluctant to get attached to another franchise.

Mutt probably shouldn't get a girlfriend though it might work on the campus like his dad... kinda a fonzy thing!
I think mutt needs to grow up and be a badass and that will give his character more leeway not just a kid pretending to be badass so at least 3 years need to go past... but i still would prefer a sequel.

Mutt was a mistake, and I expect Indy felt the same way, too.
