This is probably a stupid question but I always wondered what was up with the looks that Belloq and Marion are giving each other here?

according to the novel ---- while onboard belloq tries to kiss marion and she declines his advances and bites him on his lips and he thens becomes enraged with her , but before he can hit her , they are told that they have arrived at there destination , thats why he gives her the glance after they get off the sub

Thanks for that info! That does explain it then, they must have shot that scene and cut it, that's a shame that scene got cut out, that would have been very amusing to see Marion bite Belloq! lol It makes that scene where they look at each other weird, seem confusing not knowing what happened

Without the context of the novel, I've always assumed that it's Belloq trying to be mean to Marion 'cause the Nazis told him to. :o

Seems unlikely, to me at least, that they would have filmed it. After all, there's a substantial amount that's in the novel that isn't in the film.
More likely, we're meant to assume that Belloq made some sort of advance on Marion, and she refused him. Hence the frostiness.

Still would have been better if they had shown the advance and the refusal, would have made this scene a lot better

To me it was just a "Why do you like Indy over me?" look.

Taking this seriously...
I think he tried to reason with her, set out the terms and conditions and was baffled that she would choose certain death/imprisonment over "french love".
The look was probably him giving her a last chance, which she rebuked.

No, it wouldn't. Good storytelling doesn't need to have everything spelled out, black and white, clear as crystal.

In the same scene, I wanna know why that one soldier has his head bandaged. Maybe in addition to biting Belloq, Marion got into the sub's galley and found a frying pan... :whip:
