A little over a week ago (May 24th) was Last Crusade's 20th anniversary. I don't know what I was expected, but I guess I thought that there would be some acknowledgement of this milestone, but to my dismay there as has been nary a mention.
Well, in any event, Happy 20th Anniversary Last Crusade!

What a great summer that was - chiefly due to Indy. Crusade is a wonderful movie. Happy 20th, indeed...:hat:

LC was my introduction to Indy. It's still a fantastic action film. Happy 20th LC!

Crusade is a nice film. It's also the only one I can actually remember seeing in the theatre, but, yeah, you'd think there'd be at least some sort of mention by Lucas & Co.

It was the first time I saw Indy on the big screen!
It's funny, back in 1989, we had an Indy movie (LC), a Batman movie (Batman), and a James Bond movie (License to Kill). In 2008 we had an Indy movie (KOTCS), a Batman movie (The Dark Knight), and a James Bond movie (Quantum of Solace)! If only we could get another Indy movie when the next Batman and 007 movies come out.

I still have my movie stubs...(use them as book marks). Interesting the way the trailer feels with Raiders music over it. Not jaunty or playfull.
"In the belly of that Steel Beast" :D Great line!
The last great movie with my first love before going off to school.

LC was the first INdy movie that I saw in the cinema. I'm not quite sure why, but from the time I got it on home video, I have always watched it annually somewhere in May/June. It used to be a way of celebrating the end of the school year (June: Middle and High School, May: College). Since my undergraduate days I've kept it in May to coincide with the anniversary. So, after watching Crystal Skull on it's anniversary, I followed it up with LC, though not on the exact date.
Ed Dolista reminded me that we are coming up on the 28th Anniversary of Raiders. I realize, that in general, 30th anniversary aren't as big as 25th, 50th, 75th, etc, but I wonder if there will be any acknowledgement of it in 2011??!!
Perhaps, we the fans should plan something :hat:

20 Years...wow. Seems like just a few months ago to me. Hell, I remember going to the local Smitty's to buy the movie on VHS and how wonderful the picture looked! Who knew 20 years later we'd have tech that makes that picture look like garbage.
Anyone remember that cheesy little ad for Diet Coke at the begining of the VHS tape?
