Indy at 28..."It's not the years..."

Indy turns 28 on June 12th with the anniversary of Raiders of the Lost Ark's premiere. Boy, how time flies! I remember when it was the only film (in this now four film series). The 80's were certainly a great time for cinematic creativity and ingenuity. It was definitely a great decade for Lucas and Spielberg. How fortune I was (and many of you as well, I'm sure) to have been the recipients of this great output of entertainment. For me, Indy was always right there at the top of the pack. I love Raiders, primarily because it was the first and the memories of the first time I saw it will always be with me. It's a film I can watch over and over (and have) and never get tired of watching. Pardon the reference to oft over-quoted line, but it certainly has gotten a lot of mileage and the years have been kind to Indy and Raiders.

I got married on June 12th for this very reason!! We celebrated 5 years of marriage yesterday. And for the record, I got married in my Indy wool pants (not a good idea in June) and my Aldens. I have a very tolerant wife:)
