Anyone suffer from Headaches?

I suffer from headaches a lot, my mom tells me what my problem might be, but I am hoping what she says is not my problem. My head starts hurting then my left or my right eye starts paining and my neck and after that I feel like I'm going to bring all my food back up. One time I had a migrain headache and I felt like dying, I was in so much pain I could not think or be still, my parents had to hold me down because I might have destroyed something in my bedroom, I hate headaches, I'm suffering from a headache at this very moment.

Anyone els here on the Raven suffer from headaches?

I was watching TV and heard Dr. Oz say that migrain headaches are common among females. I suppose it must be because I never really suffer with em. I get them only like once or twice a year. It's sad my lil sister has to suffer so, but well even our earth (its a female, mother earth lol) suffers from all the headaches we humans give her. We litter, pollute the environment, trash up the planet and fill it with violence and waste energy and permit gas emissions.


Anyway Dr. Oz and Dr. Sanjaygupta know what they are talking about. They are experts I think. Anyway Dr. Oz is so the man. If I become go into the medical field I'd like to model myself after him.

Sounds like migraines..albeit mostly mild ones...especially as you are having visual disturbances and feeling nausious.

I used to get them something terrible...started with flashing lights, then peripheral vision would go. Headache was agony...laid me up for 2 days. Temporary blindness in one eye...nausia...tongue felt weird...couldn't tolerate light.

Do you have a trigger that causes them?...My mother's was fluorescent/strip lights as they strobe. She wore specially tinted glasses at work.

I got lucky and found my trigger was certain cheeses. Never had a migraine since I gave it up.

Dairy products can often trigger migraine or headaches. Chocolate, coffee or red wine are often a cause too.

I am lucky I found my trigger and eliminated it from my diet. Many are unlucky and either can't find the trigger(s) or have multiple triggers.

I drink a lot of coffee and but weekends I tend to drink less so I sometimes get headaches on weekends. Also my sleep pattern at weekends is different so that can be a cause. They say keep a regualr sleep pattern and diet as a constant to avod headahces and hydrate.

Examine your diet, lifestyle and environment.

Try this breathing exercise.

It will help lower you stress and blood pressure and may help your headaches as well.

Find a quite place to sit…

Push your tongue lightly against the top of your mouth,

Inhale for 4 counts…

Hold your breath for a count of 8 with your tongue still against the roof of your mouth…

Then exhale for a count of 7, again with you tongue still against the roof of your mouth and when exhaling, make an exhaling noise.

Repeat 4 times…


This my sound crazy, and that’s exactly what I though until I tried it. I really helps calm you down and releases stress.

Woah, woah, woah. Let's just tone it down a bit, ok? Let's just have a little melt down here. I'm not sure but I think there is a law where you're required to have shots. And unlike most the other stuff our government does thats acually a good thing. It keeps you from getting the really bad deseases, not a common cold or something, the bad stuff.
And doctors are terrific people, I do believe we underestimate the streangth of our own bodies, but if I'm really really sick or I get an artery chopped I don't wanna just chill and wait for it to go away, I wanna see someone who can fix it.

I know that West Virginia and Mississippi do not allow a religious clause. They have to be vaccinated regardless unless their is some rock solid medical reason as to why they can't be immunized. And when I lived in North Carolina I did know someone who got in trouble with CPS for not gettin their child the required immunizations, that has been a few years ago and the law could have changed.

When my brother was a baby the Doctor gave him a shot and he got deathly sick, my parents told the Doctor they would never give my brother another shot. My dad went to the emergency room the beginning of last year for a issue and my dad had to pay lots of money, Doctors sure like to take money out of your pockets.

Crab, I'm a Christian, and while I'm not trying to bash anyone but I don't believe in herbs. I believe everything in the Bible, yes, but I do also believe we need to look at things in an everyday literal stand point. Such as doctors and shots. We need those things to live a healthy life, and with a world of ever growing deseases we need all the doctors we can get.
And Indywolf, doctor visits to cost people out the butt, but the procedjures cost them alot of time and money themselves. And shots contain a very weakened version of the virus you are trying to protect yourself againts. With the virus being weakened it can't really harm your body, but there's enough of it there for your body to build up a natural immunity to it.

Thank you, Crab :hat: It's true, I believe that God can cure terrible deseases one may have if that individual has the faith for it, but I also believe that that individual should not just sit around and do nothing, with a deteriorating body or whatever. Doctors are here to help us, and with medicines today there's no need for herbs or any of that.

And my kid's doctor lets me know exactly what is in their shots and medications they may have to have. We even have to stay an extra 20 mins. at the drs. office when a new shot or medication is given to make sure there is no allergic reaction. And he also tells me what side effects may occur. He is an awesome doctor. And he even went as far as too not recommend I get my children the flu shot. But they are caught up on their immunizations though.

I don't think that's entirely fair to say...given what we have observed from her many posts here, she seems to be a product of a somewhat radically Christian environment, and largely sheltered. Indywolf: There is nothing wrong with going to a doctor or the the hospital. You are quick to throw religion into every topic, so is it not a sin when you deny your body the right to get better?
I do believe some herbs are good for the body, but they are not a cure to many diseases that can harm us. The shots that a child is supposed to get helps prevent things like polio, and the small pox just to name a few.

I believe in God, but I also believe in going to the doctors or annual check-ups, and using commen sense to make our lives more healthy.

I don't think that's entirely fair to say...given what we have observed from her many posts here, she seems to be a product of a somewhat radically Christian environment, and largely sheltered. Unfortunate, yes. But she needs to break free from her mother's influence, hang out with more open-minded people, and get a good education. She would transform pretty quickly, I think.
