The Raven user titles

In case you haven't noticed it yet. Aaron and I have made some changes to the User Titles here are some of them:

- Student (Minimum Posts: 0)
- Freshman (Minimum Posts: 6)
- Junior (Minimum Posts: 15)
- Senior (Minimum Posts: 75)
- Intern (Minimum Posts: 150)
- ******** (Minimum Posts: 300)

Someone will have to reach the 300 posts to know how that User Title is. Indy 4, you're the closest to 300!
But 300 is not the last title you can reach, there are 4 more coming!

As for my title something happened behind the scenes and we are trying to fix it.
As for the name Intern...guys get your mind out of the gutter. ;) I thought it woulbe a natural way of progression to go from a Senior to Intern, like in real life. Lets say you were studying Ancient History in college, after you were done and before you went on the field by yourself you would go and Intern under someone...like the name Dr. Jones, or Bob Ballard.
So you see its quite an achivement to get to Intern. :D
Unless your name is...look now you got me doing it! (cigar anyone? ;))

I'm not sure, apalehoarse, but I think they mean the name below your nickname, I've always see it says either "indyfan" or "moderator". I THINK that what they are trying to do is change it and make it have more names, like so......its just what I THINK!

Well...this thread is from about 2 years back. We once had (this is long before my time) rankings, as in the first post of this thread, but as Aaron said, we got rid of that to decrease posts on a "Genesis Deluge" level. And yes, I suppose it did work.

Post well, I suppose. Try not to offend people, express your opinions in a reasonable matter, and rarely post things without any purpose. As such, you'll develop some respect among your fellow Raveners.

OH! I see...now I snapped out of it! you guys are scare that if you do that again, raverners will start posting stupid stuff just to be Intern...or the most you can be! It took me a while to figure why it decreased post! Well, form my part, you can be sure i'll always post what I wanna post. I wouldn't waist my time just to be sort of best, though fun, I don't give it that much importance. If I did, I'd divided this reply into two....trust me.

Well, Jones Sr. is the source of my name, you know...

But about the titles...sure, it would be kind of fun, but we have a pretty large range of post numbers at this point, and probably the most important thing for the moderators to prevent is flooding. So I don't think they could afford to reinstate any kind of ranked user names.

I think it would be a nice gimmick but i dont think it really matters, maybe give one at 100, then another at 500, then at 1000.

Or maybe remove post numbers all together (on the main name) and just have the titles it would certainly prevent the obsession with number of posts that seems to be filling this forum sometimes
