We all know that Indy hates snakes, so what is it that you hate?

Really big, bloodthirsty looking, dogs. Little scraggly things don't bother me, but the big ones do.

Heights and Britney Spears singing or how I say "screeching". ;)

No comments on the last one. ;)

Why does a dyslexic atheist lay wake at night?

Because he is wondering if there really is a Dog! :D

(you see Big Bloodthristy Dog reminded me of that)
Sorry if I wasted your time...;)

I agree very much on the Britney Spears thing. The "singing" is a joke, we all know why she's really famous. One time I thought how bad it would be to wake up int the middle of the night and hear that voice.

Shipwreck
06-19-2001, 01:49 PM
I know how old you are.... you are not going to make me believe that waking up in the middle of the night, hearing her voice, (because she would obviously be next to you), would frighten you.... haha...yeah....right....hehe....:p

Col. Musgrove
06-19-2001, 01:54 PM
Well, if it was her, yes, that would be different. But that voice is a little freaky, to me anyway. I'm saying if you woke up in the dead of the night, and heard that voice, disembodied, distant, faint, now that would scare me.

True, very true. Discussions now are almost in real time, where you used to check once a day and put your two cents in. But the problem is, chat is usually more trashy. It might be different here, but I can't stand the cretin discussions, lack of correct spelling, etc. in chat rooms.

Shipwreck
06-19-2001, 02:53 PM
just something to break the monotony..... or perhaps a chat thread...yeah...theres an idear...just chat threads...only that discussion going on. My you could jump into all kinds of things.... but then again, it would probably be crazy..oh, well.

Well, the only thing about chat rooms is that there is usually (in my experience) a lot of trouble. I'm sure we wouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff around here, though.

I think it'd be kinda cool. ;)

There are only two things in this world I hate. One is very tight spaces, and the other is Brittany Spears, Nsynck, Backstreet Boys, and most of all The Hanson Brothers. In others all forms of modern Popular music. The music of the 50's and 60's is so much better, and understandable. All we have nowadays is a buch of Young adult/Teens making a bunch of noise and calling it music. Basically they are all new forms of New Kids on the Block which was the worst thing to ever happen to the music industry.

I have a fear of scaling heights at a very fast speed and staright up. The Aeroplane was ok because you did not go straight up, but lifts with windows that go as High as the SKY freak me out. And Alsations as well. I was bit by an Alsation.

thefumegator

Indy 4: I agree wholeheartedly! I hate the "music" that people make nowadays, and I use the term "music" very loosely. I love the music from the 50's, 60's, and some 70's. That is mostly all I listen to- other than Classical and a little country.

Indy smith: what is an Alsation?

Take care,
Wes

I loathe and despise six legged insects, but for some reason I am not at all put off by eight legged spiders.

As for waking up next to Brittney Spears.........no problem.

What's she wearing?

Shipwreck
06-23-2001, 02:17 PM
I believe is a large, possibly black dog. Can be VERY aggressive when provoked. But very beautiful. Sorry to hear you got bit Smith. Hope you don't have to big a scar.

That makes sense.

Monkey: You'd be put off by some of the spiders that make their way into MY bedroom. I live in an unfinished room in the basement, and the HUGE wolf spiders that usually stay outside decide to pay me a visit. I'm talkin' big, almost as big around (when alive)as a CD, about 1/2 inch less diameter wise.

I think what it is that creeps me out about spiders is that they (the ones I deal with) are lightning fast - racehorse spiders.

Fume:
Same here...although I don't sleep in the basement, my sister does. And being the only brother I have the sworn duty to save my sisters from any and all dangers...including huge spiders.
Now mind you spiders don't really bother me, but these guys are HUGE! They are really the only 8 legged creature that creeps me out. :p "Yuck!"

(crossing his leg over the other, placing his notepad on his knee, Doctor Shipwreck pushed his fedora back on his head and looked at Fume over round spectacles, where he lay on a leather couch. Then speaking in what appeared to be a familiar Freudian German accent)

"So, tell me Fume, do you talk to these spiders? Do they ever talk back to you?"

Fume just wriggles around, uncertain of how his answer might be taken. "Well, doc, I just can't help myself. I mean I love animals and especially spiders!"

Calming his patient down with slow hand motions, the doctor said, "It is okay and understandable that you should have these feelings for the species arachnid." Pausing to look down at him more sternly, "However, I must warn you. It is okay to love your animals, as long as you don't LOVE your animals."

Hmm... on phobias, I hate insects, arachnids, and most other things with an exoskeleton...

I used to come home everyday to find fifty or more Boxelder bugs crawling over my garage door; I had to watch my head when I came into my home... and now that they're gone, my family constantly finds wasp nests around our house... and now I've had a ticks crawling up my shirt, on my leg, and other places, while my mom has had them crawling down her face (!), and I'm the only one who ever gets attached ticks on them.. :( And now whenever even a little beatle flies onto my hand, I'll start freaking out... :(

There there GW...

Since I went to Sea World for a band field trip day, my friend "dragged" me to go on the "Steel Eel" wit her.
I just sighed and did, and the "Steel Eel" wuz like I dunno 10-20 stories TALL!! I looked down and FREAKED!
But that ride was like going 70 miles per hour!!

After the ride ended, I was like paralyzed.

I "used" to be EXTREMELY terrified at that but I conquered my fears over that one last Christmas...

Yep, got a flu shot on Christmas...ironic isn't it? ;)

Aaron H

To this point in my life I have had more shots than the average human has in their life. But still I hate the thought of getting poked with a needle...like yesterday when I had some cavities filled the hardest part was the Novocaine shot. :p
*Sigh* I guess I'll have to live with it...

Well, I must say that needles have always bothered me, but that is the one case where mind over matter works for me. I just hate getting so cold when they put an IV in...

By the way, that was good, Shipwreck! It's hard to type through teary eyes! Is it healthy to laugh that hard?

I honestly have no phobias or fears (the difference being that phobias are irrational fears). That probably makes me really strange.

For me it's spiders.

For as long as I can remember, I've always had a phobia of these eight legged creatures. Luckily, my husband is not afraid of them, and kindly disposes of them for me if there is one in the house. :D
