These are the times I am glad I have an Xbox...
According to the May issue of "PSM", ET won't come out for PS2 until... September!
Check page 20 for yourself.

It's coming out in June, LucasArts says so: http://www.lucasarts.com/products/indiana/features.html
Just a month later than we had hoped...

Hopefully this means they are polishing up the game.

Could very well be. And with the reasent trend in games, it may have more features/levels (IE: Splinter Cell) ;) we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, I'd say so too. They delayed the PC release several times and it doesn't have anything better than the Xbox.

Cool, i get PSM too. Anyway, sometimes that section gives dates that are WAY off. I'm not sure where they're getting their info, but i think i'll have to believe what the source says, which is LucasArts. I believe in wishful thinking, cuz i don't like being a procrastinator, haha!

I don't actually get PSM. My friend who gets it gave that issue to me. It has some cool stuff in there though.

Yeah, it is a cool magazine. Come to realize it, i believe you said you had an xbox, which would then make one think "why would he get a playstation magazine?". Hmm, i guess we have to use those context clues! My thoughts on the delay is that either the ps2 version is having some technical problems, or, lucasarts is trying to make it better than its xbox counterpart because of the bad xbox reviews. haha, i'm going to be laughing if the ps2 version is better, cuz i get so sick and tired of xbox fanboys, oh, no offense to any xbox fanboys at this forum....lol!

The July issue of PSM still says September as the ET release date for PS2...

Yeah, I saw that too, but when I was at Electronic Boutique last week, I asked the clerk when Indiana Jones was coming out for PS2 and he said July 17. Whether or not it is this year or next year is still being debated....

Perhaps, they are re-doing a few of the levels and tweaking the controls.

With all of these delays I hope this game is near bug free.

they probably will take some bugs out, there were not many but there was some. the Xbox version had quite a few bugs, the PC version had alot less bugs and the PS2 version will probably have even less bugs. I do not have a PS2 so I am not looking forward to it as much but I thing the will fix some minor problems.

I got PSW yesterday, and that said it'd be out in June, but didn't give a specific date. I wish they'd hurry up cos I'm sick of avoiding threads in this folder that could ruin the game for me...

Yeah, me too. I'm trying to avoid spoilers. Now I've heard this game is rather short, but I don't think that will stop me from buying it. I think the whole Indy experience will be enough, especially that instruction booklet. I was looking at pics of it at IGN.com and it looked really cool, and YES, i know it's just an instruction booklet but I read that it says stuff about abner ravenwood in it, so I really want to take a look at it. Off topic, I purchased return to castle wolfenstein, and despite some bad reviews from some fascist pigs (gamespot.com), it is a very good shooter for the PS2. Anyone who has a PS2 should definetly rent it.

I don't have it for PS2 but it is a great game for PC. you will like the instruction booklet for ET, it does talk about Abner Ravenwood, not very much but it does.

Does anybody have a scanner so they could post some pics of the instruction booklet?

Speaking of spoilers, I've already read the whole game walkthrough... and haven't even bouoght the game yet! :)
I have a really wierd gaming thing about me though, I can't stand wondering for hours where to go next, so I ALWAYs read the walkthrough ahead of time so I can now exactly where to go.
But hey, everybody has their thing! :)

I want this game now!!! there has to be a reason there is a delay.
Kumba

And it better be a damn good one! Us PS2 owners have been to the trenches, taken on the red baron, and now we've had to wait for the emperor's tomb! Why?! WHY!!!!? Obviously I'm over-reacting, but for a good reason. My guess is that the PS2 version will probably have that indy dvd trailer on it, and may be some other sort of goodie.

Has it been delayed again? I was in Game on Saturday, and their 'coming soon' list had a release date of August 12th...
Kumba

Well, it's gone gold in the states at least. According to the website, June 26th is the day it's in stores, but if you live in England or someplace like that, it might be different.

I know this is wrong, but if you go to http://www.bestbuy.com/videogames/Detail.asp?m=937&e=11205204
that website, it will say that ET for PS2 is 1-4 players. I just thought that was funny.

If it did have multiplayer, what would it be? I mean, may be if it was like some sort of deathmatch thing or, a co-op mode of some sort, but I really doubt it; probably a typo. But I guess we'll find out soon enough....;)
