I am very anxious to get my Indiana Jones dvd set, but, does anybody recall the release of Back to the Future on dvd? May be you have, but what you might not have known is that the first batch of these dvds on the market all had the same two flaws: on parts I and II of the back to the future seriers, the frame aspect wasn't right. I read this at dvd.ign.com . They said that the frame didn't show the entire picture. In other words, it was messed up. Also, not as bad as a flaw, but the year 2000 release of the James Bond series, on some of the Bond movies, such as You Only Live Twice, the subtitles are taken out. Actually, what I noticed is that on the DVD version of The Living Daylights, there are NO subtitles whatsoever (and what I mean by subtitles is the font that appears when people are speaking a foreign language that the common joe wouldn't understand). It's quite odd; in both From Russia With Love and The Living Daylights DVDs, there aren't any subtitles. HOWEVER, in the VHS versions of those movies there are subtitles that show what the characters are saying in a foreign tongue. Except on You Only Live Twice; the new release of that doesn't have subtitles on either VHS or DVD. Now, the reason I know this is because I remember when I rented the Bond movies that were released in 1995, they did have subtitles.
Alright, now to my point: What if the Indiana Jones dvds have flaws!? That would certainly make a stab and twist to my heart. Tsk tsk tsk....
