There is a old ToD game. I'd still rather see a raiders game.

yea, a "Raiders" game would be the best, I want to see games based on all three movies.

I have to admit, while I think ToD is the worst of the 3 movies, it is probably the best suited for a game adaptation of all them. (LC being the least suited for a game version.)
Still, we only got as far as Cairo in your Raiders thread. Let's finish that up before moving on, eh?

Nah, no TOD game, and no Raiders or Last Crusade games. I saw the movies already, so I know what happens. That's why I don't read movie novelizations after seeing the movie.
But I still think some of the ideas you had in your other thread could be well incorporated into a game with an original story line.

I think Temple of Doom would make a cool game. Heck, I think all the Indy movies would make good games.
I also agree that the Indy novels would make good games. A new game that followed the Fate of Atlantis story line would also be really cool.

we finished "Raiders so now let's move on to ToD. I am rather "bizy" right now so you guys can start coming up with ideas.

Great, didn't know you guys finished already
I think perhaps we should gather everything discussed, and put everything in order for the Raiders game. But in the meantime...
I was thinking, as a precredits to the actual precredits, Indy is in his hotel. From what Indy says at the Club, Lao Che's goon shows up unexpectedly to steal Nouhachi. Of course Indy broke his wrist...
The game opens up in a cinematic where Indy is seen sleeping, and we see his hotel door open, and a gang of ninjas enter. Indy wakes up, does a one-liner,"hmmm, I didn't order room service", well, to that effect anyway, then reaches acroos his desk next to teh bed and unravels his whip. Cinematic over, now the fun begins.
You have to fight the goons before they take Nouhachi. If you fail, you simply start over, if you succeed, then cut to another cinematic where Indy realizes Lao Che's top man, in the confusion of the fight, actually swiped the statue.
Indy looks out the window, and mutters "damn", then catches a figure running across the street ahead, your prey, the man who stole the statue. Now cut cinematic, and a foot race ensures in the late night streets of Shanghai.
I think this sounds good, feel free to critizise or add to or altogether shoot it down.;)

sounds good, maybe you don't chase the guy through the streets because that would be too much like the chase soon to come, but I definately agree about the assaination attempt, it will be kind of a training level for the battle yet to come, before we talk about the Lao Che deal let's add on to Swords idea alittle more.

Ok, let's talk about the part that takes place at club Obi-Wan, I am a bit occupied at the moment so anyone who has some ideas please post them.
I think that ToD would be a difficult movie to turn into a game and still remain true to the film. As for the whole of the ToD sequences we are with Indy there is no time for Indy to go off on a side adventure. As Games these days have to fit into the film narrative a lot better than say Greatest Adventures i just couldnt see it working.

I know, we are just proposing ideas, hence the name of the title. And I also disagree, if anything, ToD would be the best game to convert to gaming since it has so much action. Anyway...

If they made a ToD game, they would need to make up alot of levels!!!!
you have from the film far:
club obi-wan
streets of shanghai
the raft
(need to some up with something to fill in the non-action gap, perhaps bandits attack indy on the way to the palace)
ambush in bedroom
secret passages, bugs, traps and baddies
enter da temple
next level: play as shorty, escape from mines, free some slaves in cages, take on some thugs, free indy
as indy again:
the lava room
the mines
alternate between indy and short (?):
-giant thugee and maharja
indy:
-mine cart chase
-out side, run around on a buncha ledges
-rope bridge
-cut rope bridge
DONE!!!
I think they could put in some more things, perhaps a fight on the plane, perhaps some thugees follow that village boy and you have to defeat then, fight with bandits on the way to palace, bedroom fight becomes big battle with more rooms and hallways and foes, more gaurds in every level
perhaps a few bonus levels...........

your right, I don't know about being Shorty because it is an Indy game, but you will have plenty of time to fight with him (not against him) I like your idea about fighting multiple assassins when Indy is attacked in his bedroom, meanwhile Shorty is making remarks like "He try to kill you, I do nothing!" (just joking).

I think Club Obi-Wan has a lot of potential for introducing dialogue into an action game. Naturally, this sequence would have to end with Indy, Willie, and Short Round on the plane, but the Shanghai sequence has the opportunity for open-endedness. I think the Indy Quotient can be reintroduced as well.
Option #1: Before going to the Club, you can try to find and infiltrate's Lao headquarters, killing him and his sons so you can keep the Ashes and still get the diamond. You then go to the airport and get on the plane where Willie waits for Lao and Shorty waits for Indy, where it continues like the movie.
Option #2: Do it like the movie.
Option #3: Butter Lao up so you get what you want, he gets what he wants - no fight. Go to airport with Willie and Shorty, get on plane which isn't Lao's, but ends up ditching in a storm.
Option #4: Sneak into the Club and try to steal your payment. Fight will ensue.
These are just off the top of my head of course, but I think the one thing we should try to get in this game is open-endedness in the tradition of the LC and FoA games.

I don't know, those Ideas seem to far off from the film.....
It would be cool to perhaps have a level based on when Lao's son attacks indy (at his hotel???) trying to get marhachi the night befor the meeting and indy cuts off his finger (like was hinted in the film)

I like Attila's idea. It would be more interesting in a sense that you make the choices for Indy, like in the Fate Of Atlantis.

1 and 4: I don't think indy is a kind of guy who steals payment or goes back on a deal.....at least, not the indy I know
3: that's no fun....no bloody action!!!
