Has anyone read and of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child's Books? They are the most like Michael Crichton, who by the way, writes great adventure novels.

But I want to know what books are the most like Indy without actually being Indy novels. I'm reading Peril at Delphi right now and find it to be the most boring book I've ever read... Didn't Rob Macgregor WATCH an Indy film before writing the book? One thing I like in an adventure novel is um ADVENTURE!!!!

Anyway, anyone got any suggestions?

In my opinion, the Max McCoy novels caputre the character and spirit of the Indiana Jones films perfectly.

Check out these links (there's some alternative cover art as well!)

Try James Rollins' adventure novels. Subterranean, Excavation, Amazon and Deep Fathom. All are high in adventure and Excavation is very Indy-like.
