Anyone heard of a GP32? Probably not, I hadn't until a friend put me onto it:
http://www.emu.pl/gp32/
http://www.gp32emu.com/
Similar in size to a GBA but far more powerful (costs $160). So powerfull in fact that someone has ported ScummVM onto it and it runs all the old Lucasarts adventure titles (including FOA) at full speed with sound (no speach yet however)!
It's great for those long train journeys to work and stuff, I've been playing Day of the Tentacle at the mo but plan on re-playing FOA right after I get through DOTT.
As an aside it's got loads of other emulators available for it including SNES, GB, Commodore64..... pretty much all the old machines upto the early 90s'.
Sorry if this comes off as an advert but I was really stoked when I found all this out.

That's cool. Will later software support full voice sound for FoA???
I don't know if I'd enjoy it near as much without the full sound.
This thing could be great for Indyfans. If someone were to put together a package of all the ROM's of all the old Indy games, plus all the different emulators for the various ROM's, we could play all those old Indy games on long trips and the like. Mostly you'd just need an PC emulator (FoA action, LC action, Tod action, etc.) and a NES/Snes emulator (adventures of IJ, YIJC, etc).
Well, I'd do it, but I'm working on some other projects right now, and just don't have the time.
Thanks for showing us though. DotT with full-voice, alone, is a huge mark in it's favor. If it did FoA and Sam & Max, and maybe Rebel Assault or something, I'd buy it in a second. Maybe in the future it will...

what is this for?
Game Boy advance?
and how would you move the pointer?
or upload games without a cartridge of FOA?

Well it uses those smart cards that are used for PDAs and stuff. About $30 for a 128mb card. The console is plugged into your PC via a USB port and you can transfer all your game ROMs and emulators, mp3s'- whatever.
Right now I've got all the classic Lucasarts adventures on there and am playing DOTT on the train every morning on the way to work.
There's a SNES emulator too but it's still beta so it's not full speed yet - but it's close.
The ScummVM port for it doesn't support the mp3 versions of the game sounds but it does play the music - which is enough for me. There is hope the guy who ported ScummVM to the GP32 will add the speach support soon.
Oh yeah, it's got a little joystick on it, the mouse pointer is controlled that way.
If you wanna see what emulators are evailable go to one of the sites I listed above.

The GamePark is, unfortunately, becoming obsolete and more and more coders abandon it. Of course, it *does* have one HUGE advantage - the emulator of the best computer ever created, Commodore 64, is available for the GP32, and not for the GBA...
But Splam, the C64 emu for the GBA, should finally come out this year. :)
You can experience the GamePark yourself - just use its emulator, http://users.skynet.be/firefly/gp32/project/geepee32/index.htm
(Don't ask me to post any links to its BIOS, or, even worse, ROM dumps, though... :-P)

How in the world could you do that with a GBA?
I would LOVE that

Considering that the GBA has enough power to emulate the C64, although the screen needs to be resized, I guess it's possible... as for details of how it's actually programmed, I have no idea, but you could always ask the coder :D

GamePark is what the "GP" stands for in GP32 :)
All the emulators to the best of my knowledge are free. Ofcourse the various ROMs aren't but then there's plenty of "dodgy" places on the net you can acquire these.
I'm not really too fussed about watching movies on it (MoviePark). Apparently whatever movie you might like to watch on it has to fit a fairly strict set of specifications when it's encoded with DivX. Not necessarily hard to do but more hassle than I'm prepared to put into it.
Playing my old SNES games and Lucasarts games on the train keeps me happy. Playing Sam & Max right now.
I've heard they are possibly going to launch the GP32 officially in Europe soon, with North America following soon after. As far as I'm aware it's just rumour.
Old Lucasarts adventure games on a GBA - Apparently that'll never happen unless Lucasarts do it themselves. SCUMMVM, the emulator that the GP32 uses, has had a few teams attempt to port it to the GBA but each one failed. I was told it was mostly down to RAM issues on the GBA.

What company makes it and will it ever move to stores (You probably don't know)?

No I don't really know Patrick. As I said, rumour has it that they are planning on releasing it in other territories other than Asia but it's just rumour.
I believe the companies name is actually GamePark btw.
However, there are a few western companies that are getting them in on import.
I got mine from http://www.gbax.com, based in England.
