It sounds like a more bugged x-box version.

It looks exactly like the X-box review exept the score is lower and a few words at the end.

Oh, and did I mention it's raining!!!!!? The only good thing is that I'll be able to save $50!!!!! Errrrrrr!!!!! If those goose-stepping morons are going to use the Indiana Jones licence, may be THEY SHOULD PUT SOME GOOD FREAK'N USE TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
(AND YES, I REALLY WANT TO CUSS ON THIS RIGHT NOW BUT I'D BE GOING AGAINST FORUM RULES!!!!ERRRRRR!!!!!

Woa, guys, calm down! You can always get it for The PC! The graphics are GREAT on the pc! I don't know why Lucasarts has bad graphics for the Ps2, but I mean, just get it for pc!

Yolegoman, shocked at the graphics for ps2

I found another review, this time from gamespy. 80 out of 100.

They mention the bugs, but it does not sound as bad as gamespot says they are.

http://www.gamespy.com/reviews/june03/indianajonesps2/

I still don't think it sounds too good.

I don’t see why most people are bashing the game. I got my copy yesterday and it’s just like the X-box demo I played earlier this year—except, of course, the PS2 has a MUCH better controller. I’ve got a fifty-inch television and the graphics appear quite adequate. I wasn’t expecting groundbreaking visuals, just a fun Indy game like Tomb Raider—something I’ve been waiting for since Lara Croft’s first adventure on PS1. My only real complaint so far—I’ve only finished the first four levels—is that the sound should have been better produced. Sure the audio is close to the feel of an Indy movie, but it’s missing that Prologic II punch that Star Wars: Bounty Hunter had. Skywalker Sound did the sound for that great game and it shows.

All in all I’m quite please with The Emperor’s Tomb. It has a sense of adventure to it, some nice character movements and nuances, good control and above average graphics. I bought three PS2 games this week, RTX Red Rock, Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, and now Indy, and I’m most interested in finishing this one first. So all you PC lovers, you go right on hunching over you little monitors, I’ll sit right back in my comfy couch and play my PS2 on the big-screen and listen to my surround sound—okay not so impressive on this title. And you X-boxer’s—what are you thinking? You’re supporting that slimo Bill Gates! Bah!

Well may be I was a tad too harsh. I mean, there's this game I think is really good called "Conflict: Desert Storm". Gamespot gave it a very bad rating, even though the game is very good. May be I'll rent Indy, or may be if there are more good reviews I'll see what happens...

Hey Falstaff, so you actually have the PS2 version? How about you give me some pro and cons of the game.

As I mentioned in my first post, I wish the sound had more body to it. It just doesn’t grab me like some of the other games out there. And while the music and sound effects are great and true to the franchise, they just don’t jump out of the speakers like they should. RTX Red Rock is a new release from Lucas Art, and it’s sound is what this game should have. Obviously they can do it, but why not here?

As for the game play, well I like it. The controls are easy to get use to, and the camera control is as good as most third-person games get. I’ve only played the first few levels, but I don’t have any problem with control.

The graphics are good in my opinion. The environment seems well detailed and easily seen. Indy looks good and moves with a little more fluidity then many of these types of games I’ve played.

It’s still too early for me to give you any more of an opinion, but I’ll be playing it quite a bit tonight and into the weekend. By the way, I’m all the way up here in Calgary, Canada and I received my game from Electronics Boutique yesterday. So why is everyone else having such trouble getting theirs?

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp While reviews of a game are useful to read, don't forget that they are ultimately the author's opinion. I've read differing reviews of the same game many times, as well as reviews that completely differed from my opinion of the game once I played it for a bit.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp In other words, go ahead and play the game to see whether or not you like it. Of course, it helps to purchase the game from a store with a good exchange policy just in case. ;)

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp I haven't played the PS2 version, but I've played (and am still playing) the PC version... and I'm having a blast (pun intended)! My favorable opinion of the game has apparently angered some of the other posters here in other threads whose opinions of the game definitely differ from mine. However, I'm not sure whether or not those other posters realize that their unfavorable opinions of the game are just that... their opinions.

I love Indy on my high end PC. Think its a great game. Stunning high res graphics & excellent music. Gameplay is also very good as it perfectly captures the action from the Indy movies. I'd give it an 8.5/10.

Could not believe that Gamespot gave it such a bad review. I think that they must have a grudge against Lucasarts as RTX Red Rock got an even lower score of 4.9!!!! Check out gamefaqs.com or read the Gamespot reader reviews to see that the reviewer is talking rubbish about the PS2 version of Indy. In fact check out almost any of Gamespots recent reviews and same are very harsh on all formats of almost any game.

I would not let a Gamespot review influence your decision as unless a game is 100% perfect in all areas Gamespot seems to love handing out unrealistic scores. They must have inexperienced reviewers as they used to be very reliable. Now it seems that unless EA publish the game it is crap according to them.

Bet Lucasarts will not be giving them any free games or advertising in future after they slated both RTX & Indy.
