PS2 ET FOR U.K.

You have probably all seen the bad news that i have posted over at http://www.theindyexperience.com about the PS2 version of ET not being seen in the United Kingdom until mid august. We are still waiting for official word from Lucasarts, but due to July 4th Holidays we are still waiting in anticipation. What do you guys think and is there anyone else waiting for the UK PS2 version. By UK i mean PAL version.

Yep, I'm waiting for the PAL version as well. And I really don't know why yet another delay is necessary. In fact it really makes me quite angry.

i thought it unusual that Game did not have it on any shelves when i went.. although i have it on the xbox, they usually bring out the game on all platforms on the same date don't they....
oh well... it'll give you something to look forward to. .August isn't too far away.

Its far ebough away when we have been waiting for 1 and a half years already. (plus the PS2 version was originally supposed to be released in Dec 2002).

Hopefully you guys don't get a very bugged PS2 version like we did over here. I have the sound turned off while I play because of various sound problems. I can barley stand watching cutscenes longer than 5 seconds, they have problems. There is some AI problems too.

I sure hope they fix those problems by August. They've had enough time to do so already. In fact it's a darn shame that the US version of the PS2 game still had bugs.

Like Peter said, we've been waiting for a year and a half or so for the game to be released on PS2. I'm tired of waiting.

Some more bad news i have been doing some more research and Asda says it will be release in October and a couple of websites are now changing the date from August 15th/18th to October 30th. I hope this is some kind of sick joke.

I remember before Christmas being excited cos I would be getting a PS2 and there was an Indy game coming out for it... Little did I know I'd have to wait until the following Christmas to play it...

Westford, my situation is exactly the same as yours, i have contacted lucasart again but of course it is the 4th july weekend.

I'm telling you guys, if ET is not in my local store on september 1st, I don't want it anymore.
With all these delays, Lucasarts is heading for the 'WarCraft III'-effect on PS2 owners. Y'know what I mean? When Warcraft III was finally released after numerous delays, the fans had been so hyped up that they were dissapointed when they finally got it. The expectations had gotten too high.

I agree, by the time we get the game it will be nearly 1 year delayed, this is just stupid, how come the US PS2 and UK PS2 are so different there are coding issues but 3-4 months between the two is crazy talk...
