Hello and greetings to all from a newbie.
Quick question for the knowledgeable collectors here: I just got a FS expedition jacket, one of the prototypes that they had on the sale page ( #110-seal brown). It is a fantastic jacket, quality all the way, but I was hoping to 'distress' it using the regular guy method of acetone/ sandpaper/fullers earth. but I do not know if it is a veg or chrome tanned item and, of course, this will affect how it is going to react to the solvent. So... does anyone out there know how this was tanned? Did FS begin w/ veg and end up using chrome? Does anyone have any further info on distressing methods?
