View Full Version : Han Solo in Episode III??

Hello all. Has anyone heard this rumor? Chewbacca is back 4 sure, and rumor has it that the "sexy scoundrel" is back too. But, a younger version-about age 10. (Makes sense, Chewie is back, and the age fits in with the whole prequel thing, and the fact that Han was about 10 years older than Luke and Leia during the original trilogy.
So, if this is true, do you think Episode III just might turn out to be the best of the prequels-in the sense that it ties everything together??

Maybe Harrison Ford could play Han Solos dad.

I heard such a rumor 4 or 5 years ago...like he was to be a yound kid working on a speeder bike ro something, that was WAY befor any mention of chewy.....
personally, I think It would be cool, but I'm ganna be against any sign of HS in EP3.........they've already ruined Boba Fett, they probubly will ruin Chewbacca too..........and Solo :( the most liked SW charactor

I dunno, I liked Jabba the best.;)
It would be interesting to see a young Han, but I doubt it.

Hmmm, there's already a Han Solo trilogy in book form (I forget who wrote them, but I've read them). That gives you the background to the character, including how he met Chewie, and ended up owing Jabba money... Maybe he'll appear somewhere in Ep III, but I doubt if it'd be anything substantial. I'm with Kev on this one, I kinda hope he's not in it at all.
Judging by those books (written by Ann C. Crispin, BTW) it is unlikely to give Chewie any role in EP III either.
But nevertheless, they say he's going to be in it.

Not that I really care about this much, if it all, but do they really put enough stock into the books to consider them when making the films?

agreed, I necver go with the books, but I heard GL reads and approves all those expanded universe books
as for han and chewy...I don't like the Idea that they had something to do with it befor ep. 4......I like it better that they are just random people thrown into the mix in ep. 4
and I agree that Han isn't everyone's favorite Charactor (I like obi-wan more) but in general he is

It's been officially announced that Peter Mayhew will return as Chewbacca for Star Wars Episode 3 but Han Solo will not.

Who really cares if he returns?
I think it is a sign of failure when the prequel trilogy are leaning on the OT for 'gimmicks'

How can Han Solo be only 10 in episode 3?
Episode 1 is set 30 years before Episode 4.
Episode 2 is set 10 years later.
I'm guessing that Episode 3 will follow suit. if it does then han would have to be a lot older than 10. Maybe 20ish. Luke and Leia would have to be about 7 or 8 if this was so.
If Episode 3 does not follow suit then ignore me. But I would gather if this episode takes place at the end of the Clone Wars it may be several years later.

no, III starts at the last battle of the clone wars, probably 2-5 years later... luke and leia are around 0-5 at the time. 15-18 years later at I, they are ages about 18-23. Anyways, Han is only 5-15 years old, probably around ten, in III.

Episode 3 takes place 3 years after Episode 2. Luke and Leia are born in Episode 3.

Has it been revealed in the Star Wars chronology who owned The Millennium Falcon circa Episode III? The ship itself is in there alright...

No proof that it's the Falcon. Its simply a corellian transport.
I played the Star Wars CCG, and alot of SW video games.
Han flies the basic Corellian transport ship, for Corellians its about as common as an x-wing to the rebels.

Apparently, the old link below to the official site confirmed it is the Falcon, but that address no longer works...

Once Lando Calrissian and later Han Solo owned this ship, they made sure this crafty spacecraft had plenty of "special modifications" to go around.
