View Full Version : something cool

Well, at least I think it is.
I went to work today (in the middle of nowhere, really), and this guy comes in. Says he's from Wyoming. I made him sign the out-of-state visitors book (I'm in NY) and he wrote, Jackson Hole, WY. I automatically went, "Hey! Harrison Ford has a house there!" Whereas most people would look at me like I'm a looney, or go "yeah, I know," this guy says "Yep, I live 4 houses down from him, about a mile away."
Naturally, I'm like: <gawk> "Have you...."
"Met him?" he says. "Yes. He's a really nice guy."
(More talk)
Anyway, then he tells me a few little stories about Harrison in JH. Like about how he almost fought a guy who didn't feel like waiting for the deer to cross the road while he was driving and was going to hit them. Or something. And how he raised $30,000 on a 2 hour helicopter ride for some animal charity.
So now I've got a map of where Harrison lives - the guy had a JH real estate book thingy in his car that he gave me. The whole thing was very cool, I think. Just thought I'd share and see if anyone else had anything like that happen to them (probably even better?)

How true, Ren. How true.;)
That is really cool, so are you going to sell the book or keep it for collectors sake?
If you do sell it, make sure some of the girls on this board don't get it, I don't want to see Harrison's house covered in drool.:D

Wow, that is totally awesome. I would kill to meet Harrison Ford...that guy is so lucky to live near him!
My uncle is a Navy pilot and keeps some planes in the same Jackson Hole hangar as Harrison. Although I tell him to keep an eye out he has never seen Ford, but he has seen his planes many times!

Hmmm. I wonder what my neighbors would say...
I went to work today (in the middle of nowhere, really), and this guy comes in. Says he's from New Hampsire. I made him sign the out-of-state visitors book (I'm in NY) and he wrote, Rindge New Hampshire. I automatically went, "Hey! Renderking Fisk has a house there!" Whereas most people would look at me like I'm a looney, or go "yeah, I know," this guy says "Yep, I live 4 houses down from him, about a mile away."
Naturally, I'm like: "Have you...."
"Met him?" he says. "Yes. I almost had him arrested."

Anyway, then he tells me a few little stories about Renderking in Rindge NH. Like about how he almost fought a guy who didn't feel like waiting for him to finish buying his case of Red Label. Or something. And how he raised $30,000 on for bail for “his brother”.
So now I've got a map of where Renderking lives - the guy had a NH nut-house book thingy in his car that he gave me. The whole thing was very phycotic, Maybe they should lock that guy away before he does some real damage.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAH!!!!!!!!

Haha. Naw, I think I'll hold onto the map for a little while. (The rest of the book is really cool too, but it killed my hope of ever living somewhere like that. $800,000-$2,199,000 is too much money for a house for me...)
Whee!

if you give me the map, I'll give you enough $$$$$ to buy the house next door to him! :D

Was that a Mummy Returns reference? I'm a fan, but I've seen some of the others react violently when those particular movies are mentioned.

We're going now, of course. Cause everyone else is reading our thread, and they're gonna fly down (up?) there and beat us to him. Oh, and like in Raiders (wouldn't it be so appropriate?) I'll hang on under the bus/double decker bus/truck/car whatever we're taking.
And just hope I'm as good as Indy and can hang on. That reminds me, why didn't he get a big whopping hole in his pants from draggin the ground like that at so many mph? I guess he didn't want to run around for the rest of Raiders with his Star Wars boxers showing.
Hmm... the point of this topic seems to be lost a long ago.
Then again, the kid is healthy as long as it plays with the other kids.

I've met Ford a few times, actually. Each time was in Cape Cod in 1995, during the filming of SABRINA. He ate in the restaurant I worked at during a 6 month hiatus I took up there from Oklahoma. I can tell you he acts offscreen very much like onscreen. He is a quiet person, but when he laughs it is loud. :) He's a nice guy and VERY down to earth and he enjoys regular people. I was lucky enough to say hey a few times. Other than that, its my only real contribution to this thread. Thanks for sharing your story with us dude and Fisk - nice work yourself - you FREAK!

But I did cross paths many times with Indygear folks - lol
It would be cool to get TR.N folks together - so Fisk - if for some odd reason your trek from Wyoming would bring you through Oklahoma City - well - let me know and we can meet.
Anyone else live near Oklahoma City or Oklahoma - the heartland of the USA?
