Is it ok to put a photo in your profile?
Nobody's not exactly told you not to put a link leading to a photo on the homepage field, or add an URL leading to one in the short description field, so I guess that's OK...
But if you mean that is there any way to add a photo that could be immediately visible when you open the profile, no, at least I think not.

Thanks, Ren, but I changed my mind. By the time I got the picture scanned and all, it was too fuzzy to even see. I don't have the greatest scanner, and I took the pic kind of far away. It was an action pic, so I didn't have much choice of picking the right angle or anything. But thanks anyway. :)

group photo...that would be cool, but It comes back to the point of when and wear we can do this, look at who we have:
-ameera, teenager in montana
-aaron H, college student in colorado
-attila, teenager in ohio
-apalehorse, uhhhh, who knows
-canyon, adult in england
-Finn, adult in Finnland
-Gregorie Defense, college student in chicago (who I know makes the journey through ohio and into penn. every break)
-Gilles, adult in Belguim
-Raffey, adult in california
-ren, adult in new england
-Shpwreck, adult in Oklahoma
-Tequilerous, adult in holland
-Webley, adult in New England
-Westford-college student in england
and that's not including the 2003ers, the guys who left after the adventures (zharah, indy 4, hffan2000, dutch) and others...
well, I'm in ohio, so is attila, (and indy 4 if we can ever contact him) I think we could do one where greg stops in during a school break to meet us, and ren and webley (if you're still thinking about cross country) stop in as well (and anyone else who can make it)
then of corse, there are several up in europe...england, holland, belgium, finnland)....you guys are willing to travel a wee bit, perhaps you could do that
it would be good to even it up and get some guys in west US and perhaps even south US, but I can't recall very many raveners off the top of my head who are close enough
so, what do you guys say? wanna try to go with these plans?

My case stands. No offense to you in particular, but I am not sensitive, and sensitive people drive me crazy. Besides, it often seems to me that people who seem to be "sensitive" are merely using it as a facade to get across a point or what not. Indeed, If I were VP, I would take your allegation that he insulted you (even though he didn't) more sensitively than the insult in the first place (which would just bounce right off of me). Again, no offense to anybody, just my 0.02 rupees.

Webley, I can't find a picture of MP3 here. Am I missing it or are you guessing?
So, Intergamer, how am I supposed to guess?
1: Tell me your name so I can get a picture :)
2: Wild guess, 22 years of age
3: Very wild guess, 6' 0"
4: Very, very wild guess, dark hair.
Tell me what I got right.
OK, here's the skinny, folks: ;)
No picture yet
First name: Moishe
Height: 6'1"
Eyes: Dark brown
Hair: jet-black (or "Harry Potter-black", if you prefer)
Weight: OK, I'll keep this private if you don't mind. ;) I am overweight, and I am also rather broad at the shoulders, which makes me look a bit like "Big Bad John". ;)
Age: turning 18 in April
OK, how many did each of you get right? :D

Not bad. I'm 16, but I hang out with people who are older than me. I'm exactly 6' 0" and I have jet black hair.
My first name is John, and my last name means "Like a Hawk" in English.

Well, actually, I'm
15 years old, about 6'1", dark brown hair, blue eyes, am, and almost always do wear khaki pants, but not the baggy 'cargo' kind, actually a snug-fitting, well-kept, kind-of dressy-like khaki pants. (What is cords?)
I wear sport-shirts, and Indy-style shirts almost all the time. And I don't have perfect teeth (quite yet).
But, knowing nothing about me, you were just guessing.
your teeth aren't perfect yet you say? Do you have braces? I had them in mid school, but my teeth are lovely now, and it was worth it. Hang in there, pal.
PS: Cords = corduroy pants
Tennessee R

Yes, I have braces, (had them for about 6 mo.)
Thanks for the encouragement.

Actually, I went for a wire-change a few months back, and got through. I was about half-way back home, (About an hour away), and realized that one wire was digging in bad.
Quite embarrassing :)
He just did something different, (He doesn't really describe what he's doing while he's doing it. That's probably good! :) ) and it made it as sore as when I first got them. Just now getting over that.
I'll just have to get me some Corduroys soon. You've definately talked me into it! :)

I had braces for THREE YEARS - I was almost done with them, but then I broke four brackets within two months. By the time I went back to the orthodontist for another appointment, I had regressed so badlythat I ended up having to wear them for a much longer period of time. :(
And yes, there's nothing worse than those annoying wire-ends when they start ripping away at the insides of your cheeks... *shudder*
Fortunately, my teeth finished their prison sentence quite a while ago, and now I'm stuck wearing my retainers at night. At least it's btter that wearing them all day, too - during the months that I had to wear them by day I accidentally broke the lower retainer 3 times. Even worse was the fact that each time resulted in a rather costly repair fee. :(

The discussion in this thread shows that members of The Raven Message Board are a diverse and international community. However, it appears that the discussion has strayed from the original topic or does not remain Indiana Jones related. It is important to stay on topic and within the Indiana Jones genre, so as to prevent confusion among those participating in the discussion or visiting this site for the first time. This topic is moderated and future off-topic discussion could lead to the unfortunate closing of this thread. - TR.N Staff

So I parked the car and walked in to he woods to have a look see. I walked all through the woods investigating any steep banks that might reveal the opening to a cave but 2hr latter and a bunch of Mosquito bites I packed up and went home.

Yeah, it is all good. I can handle when somebody compliments something I have achieved or another indirect compliment. I am not used to hearing positive things about me personally unless they are from my wife. Still a kid in many ways I guess ;)
Webley: Man that stinks. There is a story of a buried diamond necklace within 45 minutes of where I live. The man who wrote it passed away and his wife was selling copies of some of the stories he had written. I wrote to her and got more info and put together a map of the general area. The story is much too detailed to be a complete lie I think. I spent many, many days walking the woods looking for the marker that may or may not exist. I found the specific stream and body of water referenced in the story, worked with police to gain access to the property and went treasure hunting. The kicker is that there is a road near the water called Marion Drive. If that is not a good-luck omen, I do not know what is. Believe me, I know how frustrating it must be for you to seek and not find. (In my case the estimated value is several milion dollars according to legend. I can't tell you how badly I want to find THAT.) This all happened prior to the houses being built so most of the land is private property as well. People hate having strangers trespass onto their property and start digging.

Could we be talking about the same necklace?!

Exactly! Wow, I have never heard of anyone who has heard this bedtime story before! I can see we read the same books ;) I have to admit I was trying to be purposely evasive on the details, but no point now. I never thought to search the old posts for something like this.
I have a little more info than the article offers and have been there many times. None too recently though. The only legal access that I could find is from Farley Road. Pass the abondonded building by going around the left side and go in this way. There is a summer cottage or something up by the water and I thought it may be a good place for boy scouts.
I couldn't find any rocks at all, never mind the right rock. Searched for remnants of the cabin and any other details I could find. I have been meaning to get back there, but it is best in the spring right after the thaw due to the overgrown brush. I found a hidden canoe, but that wasn't worth much.
Possibilites are that I am on the wrong side or that the size of the pond has either increased (making the marker underwater) or decreased (making the marker further from the shore than I have been looking.) Have you been there?!? I thought you were in Vermont???

I don't want to spoil the fun but you guys are talking off topic and this thread is already too big.
Can you please continue this necklace adventure in a new thread on an other forum? Maybe continue it in that old thread by Webley?
Your treasure hunting quest is just too interesting & exciting to end here!

I have been to Nashua NH but not to the Pond/lake. How big is the lake? Do you find many treasure hunters at the site?

We're gonna need a new emoticon, Gilles...one of a smilie with his eyes bugging out of his head, making wolf whistles! Or a Keanu Reeves smilie that goes, "Whoa!"
Because...I mean...wow! Good job, God! I can't even think straight.

Webley looks like a geek but is also ruggedly handsome.
ElodieJones is sexy and looks somewhat like Karen Allen in her prime.
