View Full Version : Just bought the Indy DVD's today WOW!!

I all i am new here and i just wanted to let you all know about the dvd.
well i live in the UK, Leeds and i was in town and i came across this new shop and they sold american items and japanese items toys, comics etc. well they also had R1 DVD's Hollywood homicide and loads of others and thats when i saw it the Indiana Jones DVD collection and i just went all funny and picked it up and never put it down,
i paid £45 for it but i asked (because it's not out until 20th of OCT over here and i have read someware that it doesn't come out in the states until november and it is R1 U.S) how he got a hold of it and was selling it (after i paid of course)and he said he get's them before the states and uk and just sell's them to give that feeling of having it first.
well as soon as i got home i banged the bonus cd in and watched all making of's on continue play and WOW!!!! good s**t theres the original screen test with tom sellick and some other guy and it really goes in depth about it all and the trailers are the originals even the teaser for the last crusade where it's a short trailer of the making of the last crusade and say's coming summer 1989
i don't want to give it all away because some might want to wait and see for themselves and be suprised.

Sounds like a cool shop jones007 - is it a Forbidden Planet? (I love the Forbidden Planet shops!!!) I hope you realise that we're all going to hate you now for having the DVDs first... :p ;)

Hey! My relatives live in Huddersfield and I've been there several times on vacation (I live in New York City.) This is the first time I've seen a Huddersfield resident on any forum anywhere. Is that stone tower still out there? The one that those students built in the fields many years ago? (I forget its exact name. Something original like, "Huddersfield Tower.")

Hmmm...seems unlikely, but still...very cool news *Jealous*
Get this though. i order my Indy DVDs with a The lord of the rings DVD box set for the two towers (four disc edition) and apparantly because it is a bundled item, it means they have to wait until the Two Towers is released until they send the Indy DVDs. The Two Towers is released on November the 18th. So no joy for me in that dept. :(

Got my R1 set on Friday as well (only £37.99 delivered!) & it's awesome. The picture & sound quality is amazing & of course the movies are as good as ever. The extras disc is really nicely done as well, with a lot of in-depth info, shame they couldn't have put the deleted scenes in there as well though. Overall though, this was well worth the wait.

Does the documentary contain the Temple of Doom outtake with Harrison Ford being whipped anywhere in it?

I can't wait to get my DVD box set. I've pre-ordered it from my video store and I was told I could pick it up a day early on Oct 20th. But a week early would have been awsome.

Not that i recall. I've watched the documentary twice since Friday & i don't remember seeing this outtake in it.

There is some sort of Huge.. thing going on somewhere.. don't know what it is, don't know what it's called, but it is in the middle of a field.. You can clearly see it when walking up Bradley Road.. not for long though.. bastards a re building an industrial estate.. it'll block the view..

My Indiana Jones DVDs came today in the post from the company Blackstar. Hergo everyone who ordered from Blackstar in the Uk has their Indiana Jones DVD box set. Good thing I'm off work today ill. Can watch them all day long. ahh...they really are the Holy Grail of DVDs

Today I went into Virgin Megastore and I saw it!
The box set isn't going to be released until Monday. Sorry guys, I'm afraid the temptation was too great! I picked it up and had a look and luckily, the back cover didn't reveal to much. :D
I've just ordered my online from here (http://www.enterprisesdvd.com/r1/view_title/8001/Indiana-Jones--The-Complete-Movie-DVD-Collection(4-Disc-Set)-(All-Vat-&-Duties-PAID)/). I could have gotten them from Amazon.com (as I want the uncut version) but doing it this way means it's cheaper and also means that I should get them by Wednesday at the latest! :D
To those of you who have been lucky enough to get them, I hope you're enjoying the viewings! ;)

I am really fighting the temptation to upgrade my shippinig option on Amazon...
No point, really. I'd only get them a couple days early, and then my mom wouldn't let me watch them till saturday anyway cause of school and stuff.

also, I've saw yesterday at mall and the INDY DVD really early there at the mall, it's cost 30 Euro, but only US-DVD and the cover are same colors. I'll not buy that waiting on german DVDs.
I just got my DVD's today. But guess what? There was 2 Raiders disks and no Bonus disk! *Sigh* Now I'll have to send it back, and it'll take another about three days. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
