I was watching a show on Nickelodeon called "Jimmy Nuestron" with my younger brother today. This episode included a boy with a avery large head and his friends going to Egypt to find a lost tomb. The whole first part of the episode was sort of stupid, but the last couple of minutes were great. They are about to enter the tomb when a blonde haired girl says "Shouldn't we call National Geographic for archaeologists??" Then another kid says "Nah.. we should just call Harrison Ford." This really shocked me when I heard this line. They then entered the tomb, and as they are walking, a hirogliff on one of the walls has a man with a hat running from a huge boulder!!! The rest of the episode just had a mummy and some other ADVENTURE related things, but it was pretty awsome to see that the people at Nickelodeon incoperated Indy in this episode. After all, this show is aimed at younger kids, and I'm not completely sure that they know who Harrison Ford is.

Indy148, yeah, I've noticed Nickalodeon (how do you spell that?) likes to copy moveis like that. Like Star Wars and stuff. But I'm like you, how would little kids know who Harrison Ford is? I've been a Star Wars freak since I was little, and I didn't even know Harrison Ford played in the movie til I was about 12. I just knew him as Han Solo. I dunno, maybe they just threw that in for laughs in case any little kids' older brothers happened to be watching the show. ;)

Okay, I'll have to check this out! My little brothers are watching that show all the time! Another one that had me bouncing off the walls was an episode called "Party at Neutron's." In it, a raptor briefly gets transported to Jimmy's house. As the raptor starts to attack him, "The Raptor Theme" from Jurassic Park started playing!!! I'm going to have to check these shows out more often!

That's cool, sort of like in Toy Story 2, where the little toy dinosaur is trying to get onto the toy car and can't quite make it, and the screen shows him in the rear view mirror running towards them with "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" on the bottom, obviously a JP joke.
Back to Indy, I recently watched a VHS of an episode of "Veggie Tales" with my best friend's little brother, and there was a reference to Indiana Jones somewhere... ("Holy pointless posts, Batman!")... I'll have to look it up next time I'm over his house and post the exact quote.
Cheers,

Oh, I just remembered! If you get the Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie DVD, on disc 2, there's a part called "Deleted Countertop Scenes" (don't remember the section from the main menu, though). If you click that, it will go through a sequence of cut countertop scenes. In one of them, Larry dresses up as Indy and hums the Raiders March! They also make reference to the Raiders March in the score featurette.

I was watching AFHV the other night, and they had a clip they called Pasadina (sp?) Jones and the something of Schoom. And it was a clip supposedly about Indiana Jones. It was pretty funny. Indiana gets his artifact taken away in the beginning (as usual) and then at the end, he gets it back, swings through a window, and lands on a couch. He opens the box his artifact is in, and it's a remote. :) Then he turns on the TV and AFHV is coming on. End of clip.
It was just this group of friends who got together and did an Indy clip just to send to AFHV. They didn't win though.

There are more references to Indiana Jones in cartoons.
In the 'Fox Kids' tv-shows Bobby's World (Bobby dreams about he being chased by a big boulder in Indiana Jones-clothes) and Walter Melon (It's in the Intro.) there are references to Indiana Jones.
These are were I can think about.

Just watched an old recorded episode of Muppet Babies (remember that show? "Muuuppet Baaabies..." ;) ) and I saw that in the theme song, one of the clips has baby Kermit dressed like Indy, swinging on a whip, with live action footage of a boulder rolling toward him. Can't remember if it's actually from Raiders, though.

I haven't watched that in forever, but now that you mention it, I remember that part. I didn't know back when I watched it, that Indy even existed, so, I guess that's why I didn't remember it. ;)

I noticed a refernce to Indy in my local library - they had a bunch of leaflets for a kids singalong show tour. Anyway, I've tracked down their website, and here's a link (warning, this may offend your eyes!): http://www.happygang.co.uk/rumble_wallpaper.jpg
I'm sorry, it's just so wrong...

Sorry, but I had to inform the world of the inherent evil of 'The Happy Gang'...
