At 2004 Raven Awards there should be an award for the biggest drooler.

00Kevin
01-03-2004, 07:37 PM
Well, as the year nears it's end in november, I'll be willing to listen to suggestions for any new categories. Unless the droolers have a MAJOR inpact and unless they have several MAJOR threads, I doubt that such an award will be created.

I do however want to point out something, the awards were kinda arranged in 3 categories:

-individual (single member gets an award)
-Raven related (groups, threads, quotes)
-MISC awards

the MISC awards will probubly be chaning every year, we will probubly have a 'Best New indy product of the year', but the others will be different, what fun woudl it be if we had 'best film' 'best series' and 'best website' every year?

next year will be more categories, those 3 may be the only ones to change.

but this discussion will be saved for november

sorry who judges these things again? Are we being anti-democratic

Every member of the Raven who wants to vote, votes by submitting their vote to the topic starter and anyone who so desires to collect votes.
This is the 2003 Awards, but the 2004 Awards will be done this Dec.

Kate

I think the Raven Awards are silly...summing up the year is better. There's only one winner in each category so the same elite group will win every year.

That in mind, vote for me for Most Random Ravener! Flibbertigibbet!

Finn
07-21-2004, 08:45 AM
Unless it's ruled up so that if you win once, you can't be nominated again (in the same category).

And yeah, it is silly. Same people always get the votes (or the same core group), let out the Newbie of the Year who's always prolly a new face. (Though I wouldn't be surprised if someone voted for Kev in that category too.)

Soooo, when are the votes for the next Raven Awards going to be cast?

I have a dusty, stuffed raven that can be given to the winner as a trophy, BTW. I bear no responsibility if it pecks out your eyeballs and eats them, however.

When the year ends.

Johan

I think the Child Free thread I started should win "Most Controversial Thread of the Year." Or how about, "Thread With the Most Personal Bashing On it?" (-- don't worry, I'm OVER it!) Or "Most Unfairly Closed Thread"? (Don't know about that one) ;)

That is the first thread I would like to see on the peoples forum that just opened and in fact opened due to that thread. I thought about it a lot prior to that thread but that one closing chinched it.

I just moved this thread from the Announcements forum to here so 00Kevin can participate in the discussion again.

For some reason he was unable to post anything in the Announcements forum and I couldn't find the problem. So I moved his thread to here.

Seeing that there was no Raven Awards for 2004 can I carry on the title of Best Newbie in to this new year?

Magda

I think someone should start an '04 awards thread.
