Here's something I've been thinking about. In the novelization of Raiders (which was cut from the movie), Marion gives Indy a passionate kiss before he leaves the Raven. Why do you think she does this? What was her motive? Why would she kiss him when she told him not even 5 minutes before that she hates him? I'd like to hear everyone's insights into this. It should be an interesting psychological conversation!

Sorry to dissapoint you Indyologist, but this will be a very short conversation:
Why does she kiss him passionately just 5 minutes after telling him that she hates him?
Very simple,
She's a woman.
End of discussion.

Monkey beat me to it.
Marion is a woman, therefore nothing she does will make any sense. :D

Why did Marion do what she did? Well, in my opinion it was for the following reasons:
Years before, Marion had a relationship with Indy. She was very young and got hurt. Ten years later, our adventurer shows up and I can't help but feel that the reason she kissed him is because it's almost like she's saying "the ball is in my Court now". She is now making the rules.
I think that Marion feels that because she is now older, she can call the shots and quite right too!
And Monkey, I thought you were a nice 'guy' as well! Hahahaha!!!!!
It's no wonder why you lot are still single...

OK, OK.........(time to do some serious back pedaling)
But seriously
First of all, my apologies to Canyon, and all of the other ladies out there. But I know that you know what I meant.
Why did Marion do that? She is a woman, and she is passionate. There is nothing more enigmatic, (nor beautiful), than a woman with a passionate heart.
Canyon has it exactly right though: Before Indy called the shots, now SHE is calling them.
Leave it to a woman to figure it out ;)
