John Williams got Dr Herbert Spencer to write the orchestrations for all three Indys and the Star Wars Trilogy...People say that John Williams is the best living classical composer, but all he writes is a piano score...More credit should go to Dr Herbert Spencer because lets face it John Williams use of motifs is very repetitive...The reason why Beethoven, Wagner and Mozart are considered to be the top of western music is that they new how to write for an orchestra, not just the piano like Chopin...

John Williams uses a lot of themes and music from other works, also. Beethoven and Mozart were famous because they knew how to use motifs, so you can't say williams was not good for using motifs for that's were classical music is, motifs.

Do you like Sibelius, Ren? There is a new movie made about him. Not sure if it's out in US, though. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328432/ Poster can be found from http://www.sibeliuselokuva.net/images/kuv_juliste.jpg
