The Stampede

Since there are some threads lately discussing Elsa and all, I figured I would ask. What is the best Elsa scene?
There are plenty to choose from, including:
Indy and Elsa first meet up in Venice.
Searching through the catacombs.
The boat chase.
Betrayal at Brunwald.
Indy and Elsa at the rally.
Elsa with Donovan in the Grail room.
Trying to leave with the grail.
My personal favorite is Elsa's final scene. I'm not going to ramble about it (see wolfwood's Best Indy Girl post if you want that lol). It was just well played out that Elsa would become blinded by her underlying greed and foolishly cross the seal. I think it's very fitting that she would then end up suspended the air with Indy holding her, the grail behind her. Of course, Elsa will do whatever it takes to have the cup and extends her hand for it. Also fitting is that the grail is just out of her reach and yet she strains for it obsessively, insisting "I can reach it." We see the glove coming off her hand slowly but surely, and you can't help but think one of three things:
1. You want her to reach it and be saved.
2. You want her to let it go and save herself.
3. You root for her death, because the greedy woman deserves it.
It doesn't matter what you think, because the fact alone that it stirs you up makes it a solid scene (personally my opinion changes on that). In the end, Elsa ignores Indy because she is too close to let it go.
On a quick side note, I read the script online for the movie. And it says for this scene, "Elsa just manages to touch the Grail. In doing so, she has tipped the balance too far." Although this isn't shown, I think she actually does it. This explains her large grin and delighted greedy squeal after Indy pleads for the final time (she touches it) and why she frantically moves her fingers as she is about to slip away (she realizes she tipped it out of her grasp), and desperately wants to touch it again. Just a thought.
In the end, Elsa ignores Indy because she is too close to let it go. At last, her hand is freed from its glove and she dies. I really think it is the perfect way to finish her off.
Looks like i wound up rambling anyways. oh well.
