Inspired by another thread: what are your favorite Young Indy moments?
I'll start with a few and probably add more later.
Indy's fight with Ernest Hemingway over the Italian girl.
The fight in the gangster's warehouse in Chicago.
Filming the stagecoach scene in Hollywood.
The Russians and their escape plan from Dusterstadt.

My favourite scene, not because I liked what happened, but because of the power of the moment was the scene in which Indy and Dr Schweizer return from helping a patient in his boat to discover the french are exporting all german peoples from the area. Suddenyl where there was hope for the sick people of this area there was none. The music to accompany this scene was also great.

There's a lot to choose from in a lot of categories: comedy, action, drama, romance.
Katanga, I'm glad you liked the Kafka story. That was a really unusual one, and at first I hated it. Then I did some reading about Kafka and realized the genius of the whole episode.

Then I did some reading about Kafka and realized the genius of the whole episode.
Y'know, it was the reading up on the history of many of these characters (And not all of them are Obvious, or even at the center of an episode. Some were more like cameos you don't realize until later) that made me realize how ingenious the entire series was in its premise. They were obviously doing Their research too, and it showed in every aspect of the production. What grabs me was the excitement of the times, and how events of that era shaped so much of what we knew in the world of 1992 or whenever the show aired.
"He lives a life others can only dream of" was a line from the teaser to the series before it begain airing. Once they set Indy off on that world tour with his father and then later had him run away to Europe to join the war as many foolish young men did, once you accept that part of the premise, the rest of it falls into place rather neatly.
The way he happened to run across so many famous persons (most of whom are Not so famous when he meets them) struck me as totally plausible, because the research was so accurate and the set-ups so good. There was plenty of room for such encounters to have occurred the way they did had Indy been a real person.
Heheh, during the original run of the series, I remember how I would go online and sometimes get word of who would be featured in that coming week's episode. Then I would hit the library or an encyclopedia to do some research on them, and I was always pleased at how well it all meshed together when I watched the episode.
I laugh because I remember how, at the time, it felt like I should be able to flip thru an encylopedia and come across, "Jones, Indiana." :) They simply did an excellent job of weaving Indy into the Real History of the world with all it's grit.
Sometimes, watching the shows, I'd be tempted to think of some of the guest stars as great characters, then I'd have to remind myself that they were real people. But truth being stranger than fiction and all that, there was sure no shortage of cool folks to bring into the series.
I also liked how they made some of them recurring, like Picasso and Sidney Bechet.
Anyway, on topic, to add to the list of favorite moments, one of many:
Austria 1917--Indy escorts two royal brats across the border into Germany and back, and just manages to elude the secret police. I loved the actor they cast as the German spychief...(his name eludes me right now but he's done a great many roles) He never says a Word, but has such a strong Presense as he silently stalks Indy thru the episode.
My favorite moment was when Indy makes his escape off the train and over the fence into Austria, then he has a moment to put on The Hat and give the chief that ol' cocky hellbent Indy grin and the spychief tips his bowler hat to him in return.
That was the week I thought Sean Patrick Flannery was really starting to grow into that famous hat.

Whipper, I'm glad you're here!!!
Here's another favorite moment that I can't believe I forgot about:
In Northern Italy Indy hitches a ride with a couple of Red Cross ambulance drivers (one of whom is Ernest Hemingway). The other is an American hayseed who, because of the Belgian uniform, assumes that Indy doesn't speak English and proceeds to make some really stupid comments. Indy insults the guy in French (the subtitles are hilarious).
It's one of the funniest scenes in the series.

I haven't seen all of these unforutately. I've only seen like four episodes. :( They are getting really hard to find now.
Anyway, my favorite moments are;
North Italy (tales of innocence) the whole episode. I really liked when Earnest and INdy were buying Guilianna (sp?) animals that would fight each other. A bird, then a cat, then a dog. :D funny!

Since I was so young when it came out I really like 9 yr olds adventure with the mummy in Curse of the Jackal. Also I have always thought how the jackal story didn't get solved immediately and took another 6 yrs or so to solve was cool, because shows don't usually takes yrs to resolve, but in real life it does!
also I can't really remember any other shows....

 Is anyone looking? I just got a full set yesterday, it fell off the back of a mail truck. So far I've only watched one, the first one, but it looked pretty good, there was one part that was bad, but it was a second generation copy. If you go looking here (http://www.innermind.com/youngindy/ib/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?), you might be able to find someone to help you out.

Check your PM, I just sent it to you.
I haven't gotten through many of the movies, I do have five or so VHS and now all of the shows, but I haven't seen enough to have a favorite just yet.
