Hey, I.M.M,
I have no problem discussing why I think Indy IV with Harrison Ford won't be made.
First off, neither George Lucas nor Steven Spielberg is really committed to making it happen. I think that Harrison Ford would love to make another Indy movie, but, ...well, he needs the other two guys.
Second, Harrison Ford is too old to play Indiana Jones the way the character is meant to be. Ouch, ....sorry. By the way, tommorrow he'll be even one day more too old.
Third, you can present all the arguments you want against what I am saying, but it doesn't matter.
Tell you what, let's pick this discussion back up next year...or two years from now, or five years from now.
Frankly I don't really care if they ever make it.
Have you ever been stood up for a date. After your date was five hours late did you really still want her/him to show up? Or did you just want to say the heck with it and forget about it?
This movie should have been made ten years ago. The window has closed.
The character of Indiana Jones is great, and his future doesn't hinge on this phantom movie, starring a senior citizen, that will never be made.
