While Jones was growing up, football and basketball were still in their infancy, Baseball had been around in the professional level since the mid 1800s, so I think if Indy followed any sport at all, he would follow Baseball, America's National Past Time.

Indiana Jones was a second string half back (American Football) for the University of Chicago. That's where he developed his ability to run from huge boulders, dodge booby traps, and evade bad guys.

Accoring to The Young Indiana Jones Chronices he collected baseball cards as a boy. He played on the high school baseball team in Princeton. An in a 1920 episode that was never produced, he saw Babe Ruth play in an exhibition game in Cuba.

But I agree with Fisk that as an adult, he probably didn't have time for sports.
