I don't know if I can post this in the fanart area so I'll post here. I'm no artist by any means but have turned out a few pictures (some unfinished) that I am quite fond of.
Enjoy ;)
Kyle Katarn as seen in Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (WIP)

German Paratrooper, Crete

Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Gear

Battle of St. Lo (WIP)
http://home.comcast.net/~katarn07/wsb/media/498477/site1006.jpg
I've tried to draw Indy once or twice and the result wasn't too great. Getting Mark Hamill's likeness and even the actor potraying Kyle Katarn was quite a feat but I'm happy with the end products. Leave any feedback you may have ;)

i like 'em! :)
I really like the character of Kyle Katarn so I'm a fan of his! Prolly my favorite non-movie character of the Star Wars universe.
Great war scenes there too btw.

too bad you didn't do them on plain paper
Heh. Not bad.
Btw, I like Kyle too. I guess he's the only character in the whole SW universe with this "one bad mofo" -attitude, if ya know what I mean. Okay, Han has some of it too... but not as pure as Kyle does. (Not to peck the author of these pics here, but does that lightsaber look more like a flashlight to anybody else in here?)

Thanks guys. My online alias (save for here for some reason) is Katarn07 because of the reason's Finn stated, he's my favorite non-movie character. I never finished the Kyle picture as you can see his legs and arms as well as both his Bryar Pistol and Lightsaber were never completed. I didn't finish the St. Lo one either. If I erase the Sgt's face anymore, there'll be a hole in the paper.
The reason some are on line paper is I started them at school and I don't always have unlined paper with me.

Hehe, yep - I think I came up with my 'Turdman' cartoons during a high school maths lesson!
Kyle Katarn is one of my favourite characters from the SW books (and Dark Forces was a cool game too).

I gave a shot at a sketch without a reference photo.
Anakin Skywalker as seen in Revenge of the Sith (WIP)
http://home.comcast.net/~katarn07/wsb/media/498477/site1015.jpg
It didn't go over too well. It's supposed to be a pissed off Anakin from Revenge of the Sith. I don't think it's too great of a likeness but like I said, it was from memory so I suppose it's ok.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Ren. I made up for that Anakin with one of him from Return of the Jedi. It's not done from memory, but all I used was my 1/6 scale action figure. It's not quite finished yet. I'm looking for some reference photos to perfect his mouth (the action figure is smiling, I need him like he's talking to Luke) and finish the lower part of the helmet. I also think his rebreather needs to be bigger and actually cover his mouth a bit.
Anakin Skywalker (Vader Unmasked) (WIP)

So many Raveners who can draw, and sadly I am not among them :( I really liked your Luke Skywalker pic, Katarn, I could tell it was him without even reading the caption. Kick butt!

Kyle Katarn 2 (BIG) (http://home.comcast.net/~katarn07/wsb/media/498477/site1031.jpg)
I drew that one before Jedi Outcast was released, so that means it's more than 2 years ago. His outfit is a tad off; I took some artisit licensing on its design. I know he's not proportioned correctly and all, but I thought I'd post it anyways. Another inaccurate thing is the saber looks nothing like any of the 4 Kyle uses in the game and but most of you probably wouldn't have noticed but it does bug me. I suppose the awesome Bryar Pistol makes up for it. That's before LEC decided to take away it's small, sleek, compact design from DF and JK and make it fat and ugly in JO/ JA.
Oh, and as I said before, I can't color :p

*bump*
Rather than posting a whole new thread like I did for my collection, I got a few new ones since then maybe fellow gamers can enjoy.

Cate Archer (No One Lives Forever)

And just for the heck of it, this is an original work based off a character from my story I've been writing for the past few years now.

Ursula looks like the picture was taken at an odd angle. (not an artwork thing)
Aura's legs look a little bit short.
Cate looks darn amazing!
All-in-all, your art is very good. :)

Well, here's another massive bump!
Here's some other characters from that story I mentioned above:
Elymir (more or less a self-portrait of me from a couple years back)

Canderous
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f21/Katarn07/My%20Artwork/EpicTrilogy-Canderousrevisedcolor.jpg?t=1195268796
And the real reason I thought I'd bump this?

I used to do a lot of drawing in high school. It's been years since I picked up a pencil though. Here's a "best of" for those interested:
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f103/NezObiwan/Personal/Art/Jackone.jpg
An 8x10 I did after the first POTC movie came out.
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f103/NezObiwan/Personal/Art/anakin.jpg
Also 8x10, I sent this in to Bantha Tracks and they said they would post it on their online edition, but I don't have a subscription so I don't know if it ever made it on there. Oh well, lot's of people have done this particular photo and I'm not especially happy with it. There's something wrong with his mouth or nose.
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f103/NezObiwan/Personal/Art/howjohnwon.jpg
This is about 20 inches tall. This is John Lennon in "How I Won the War" which is a pretty crappy movie to be honest. It was one of only a few drawings I've done totally by hand. I usually grid everything out.
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f103/NezObiwan/Personal/Art/bigmarryme.jpg
That last one is Ewan McGregor, who I've probably drawn the most. The drawing is I think 20x18 or something like that. He's such an easy subject--to stare at him for hours is pretty pleasant. :)
If you want to see some more of my art (drawings and other artistic works) you can go to my deviant art page. (http://nezobiwan13.deviantart.com/gallery/) Drawings are on the second and third page, if you're curious about those specifically. I kind of miss drawing. Maybe I'll try my hand at an Indy picture. I don't know that I've ever drawn a woman's portrait. Natalie Portman would be a cool subject. :D

I like it! I'm not into that show, but I could tell exactly who it was supposed to be. I checked out your homepage too. I like your animal drawings. It's much more difficult to come up with brand new concepts.
I consider myself basically a "copier."
This is the only thing that I've ever drawn without a reference or griding of any kind:
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f103/NezObiwan/Personal/Art/odedfehr.jpg
It's Oded Fehr from "The Mummy." Ardeth Bay is the character. Without a reference or griding, my stuff gets quite out of proportion!

Kyle Katarn as seen in the original Dark Forces
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f21/Katarn07/My%20Artwork/KyleKatarn-RebelAgent.jpg?t=1197822302
Kyle Katarn as seen in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (this is really old and I realize it sucks, but it is Kyle Katarn so felt I had to share it. It also shows my improvement as an artist :p)
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f21/Katarn07/My%20Artwork/KyleKatarn-JediOutcast.jpg?t=1197822573
The similarities between their poses was a complete accident. I'm gonna redo the Jedi Outcast version to be in an action pose and plan on doing a Mysteries of the Sith version where he turns to the Darkside.

Bikini Bottom

It's all from memory and I'm actually surprised how well it turned out considering I haven't watched the show in years.
Thanks for the words of encouragement, Ren. I made up for that Anakin with one of him from Return of the Jedi. It's not done from memory, but all I used was my 1/6 scale action figure. I've never been trained to do portrait drawings so when I can I try to steer clear of faces. I like art and have done a fair bit of figure drawing and some fine art courses. These have inspired me to try my hand at some fan art. Some Indy-style clad figures may be in order.

This thread had me soooo confused because I had Kyle Katarn mixed up with Carth Onasi from Knights of the Old Republic. I knew there was no way so many people could like that whiny lady-boy. "Wahh, my wife and son were killed, but I don't want to talk about it so just ignore me when I mention them in EVERY OTHER CONVERSATION we'll ever have." According to wikipedia Kyle was in the FPS SW game my brother had. I don't remember much of it -- I know I used to go into the bar area of the first(?) level and listen to the catania music loop endlessly. Haha.
Anyway, moving on. Katarn07, your art's great! You're really good at drawing clothing, which seems to be the hardest area for me. I can't do it right unless I have a picture for reference. I'm OK at like, everything else. Do you have any tips?

I did this the other day at work (what?...its been a slow summer). This is a scan of a color copy (the original is still at work), so it lost a lot of the shading and blending of the colors in the hair. I did the colors with a red pen, highlighters for the hair (yellow and blue, with black Sharpie for texture),and pencils/pen for shading...I basically just used what was laying around my office. I'll try to scan the original and post that, it'll look much better. Its definitly an early Vertigo comics type approach, I'd say. And in case you can't tell, its the Joker (Ledger).
