Today I read that actor Pat Roach passed away in the early hours of the morning, which comes as a shock as I had no idea that he had been ill.
Mr Roach was the only actor to star in all three Indiana Jones films apart from Harrison Ford.
A few months ago, Aaron asked me if I could go to London to interview Mr Roach, but unfortunately at the time, I was unable to. :(
Very sad news indeed.

very sad news, Pat Roach has passed away of Cancer. He is a fan favorite in the indy series for his 4 roles in the 3 indy films (which are usually big fist fights). Indy fans are saddened to see the only man (save HF) to have a role in all 3 indy films and to the fact that he will not appear in indy 4 (unless we could get some kind of archeive footage....wishful thinking)
Very sad news

I read an interview with him a few months ago, around the time that the last series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet was on. He talked about how having cancer hadn't made him give up living and he was determined to carry on working and enjoying time with his family. I'm sorry to hear he lost the fight, he will be missed.

A good man who will be sorely missed.
I wonder if we will hear anything from the Three about this.

Some of my favorite scenes were with Pat...I always thought the Thugee giant was a masterstroke. His oft-missed contribution will be all too conspicuous to the initiated. Rest well, Pat.

Well said. When you say 'masterstroke' do you mean the quality of the performance . . . or is there something particular about the role that I'm don't aware. I'm genuinely curious, and am always on the look out for interesting trivia.

aww, yesterday I became a message from Bond-Group on my mail and I was shocked. Big sad for death of Pat... :(
He was played as the General Khal in James Bond "Never say again" with Sean Connery.
He was 67...

Classic scene when he chucked that hammer away and it landed on some poor blokes head.
