I know this is a Bit crazy, but.... I have thought of a cool game. It would be middle ages based. Lots of land purcahsed. It would be like mid evil wars, mixed of the game fensing, archery and other stuff. Small castle like structures could be made for castle sieging games. For weapons; the arrows would be rubber tipped with sensors in them, everyones armor, whatever it may be will have sensors. And it will be more complex than this. It would be cool picking what kind of calss fighter you want: if you want to be an archer type, lighter armor (with sensors), bows and arrows, and a smaller fencing weapon. Warrior, heavy armor, (have better damage taking on the sensors), and sword. The sensors will enable you to know if your dead or not, (and there will be refs to make sure) thousands would play at once, maybe the game would last over a couple days. It would be cool at night going on night recon. It wouldn' have to just be castle siege either, it could just be a large forest, doing ambushes, or be on a battle field and meet each other head on. Well, before I make you laugh any more I'll stop, hehehe. Hey, this could get popular some day...never know:)

you are looking for dagorhir, it's not exactly like that, but it's pretty dang close! battles arn't over the corse of several days, but I guess you could do a big once like that

www.dagorhir.com

you fight with midivel weapons made out of PVC pipe and foam, so it doesn't hurt too much. it is the most realistic midivel fighting that has less risk then using actual swords (although I have heard stories...lotsa ballsshot ) plus it's easy to cheat :(

every summer, for 1 week, all the people who do this come to Ohio to fight with everyone else. I'm not sure how it's done exactly, but my friends have gone 2003 and 2004 and they love it.

I tried it, it's fun, but I don't get as much of a thrill as my friends

check it out

I have thought of things like that, and told myself they were great, but just would never come true.

Everyone has to have dreams. Just some have better than others. And I think that that would be a great game. Although, I'm not sure how you would assure that no arrows came to the eyes.

Thanks for the link 00Kevin, Ill look into it. The pvc sounds like a good idea. I really am thinking into the sensor idea. It might be better orangizing the score, into a computer database or something like that. Tennessee, For the arrows in the eye, I guess you would have to wear some sort of safety goggles. It would be a very expensive way to start up a game but, Its possible.

Swords------ Fencing swords
Armor -------- Specailized armor with the fencing sensors
Arrows-------- Robber tipped sensors

By some sort of sound or light could show if your dead or not on your armor and the reffs can get you out.

The bows could be custome made for the game, with a sensor on the side where the arrows are released, could calcualte how many arrows you shot, and each arrow could have a code to know which is yours to show accuaracy. It would be stored on an online database, and could be printed out....
these are just some stuff floating in my head, but with technology today it is very possible. talk to you later
