This reminds me of the US Navy training film that they use to show to us on Aircraft Carrier flight deck safety.
This film had actual footage of an unfortunate young sailor being sucked right into the jet engine of a ............hmmmm I think it was an F-4, and spit out the other side.
But the amazing thing was that this guy lived, and with only a few broken bones to show for the experience!
Don't ask me how he lived, because I don't know. I would have thought he would have been torn apart also.

I think he lived becuase the turbine blades broke apart when he initially hit them.
He must have had a rabbits foot, a four-leaf clover, and his lucky hat on that day.
Heh. We could say that he was done in by his biggest fan.

Eccchh! What a mess that must've been. Poor bastard.
Actually, it almost sounds like-- should I say it?-- Murder.
I mean, how do you ACCIDENTLY get sucked into a jet engine?

No, it wasn't murder. This type of incident has happened before. The engine sucks in air so hard and fast that if you stand too close....SCHOOOMP!!! You get sucked in.

I guess, but that is still kinda stupid. I mean, the guy was an ENGINEER FCOL! He didn't know enough to NOT stand by a jet engine when it's firing up? Well, maybe the poor guy was just a dimwit. Now a dead dimwit, the poor sap.
BTW, "FCOL" is my own aconym for For Crying Out Loud, in case you didn't know.
Did you even read that story behind the link before starting to spread conspiracy theories, Indyologist?
They clearly state there this is not the first time this has happened on the world's airfields. So it can happen by sheer accident.
(Well, perhaps it's the secretly engineered invisible agents of the Mongolian secret service who have a master plan of toppling the world order, pushing innocent air technicians being part of it. Maybe we should fight back.)

Oooh, the "Mongolian Pushers" conspiracy theory! Not to be confused with "the Shovers," who shove government agents into the paths of oncoming trains in urban areas. ;)

You gotta feel bad for the guys who have to clean that up. Considering a bird caught in an engine can crash an airplane, a guy getting caught...
