We see Indy toss one man overboard. Why didn't he survive with Indy, after the ship blew up?

I have said this before, but the newspaper Henry Sr. is reading in the zepplin is up-side-down.

And when the cruciform sword men and Indy and Elsa take the boats, there are three boats, and three people playing cards, beside that. If they represent the owners, they did not show much concern that their boats were being stolen.

Maybe that's why Henry Sr. looked that way when you see him reading it. Concentrating hard, confused...etc.
