Do you think its possible to live Indy's life nowadays? How??? Think about his childhood, serving in the Army, later adventures etc. Think about the economics: paying for school, all those trips. The politics: Americans cant go romping around the Middle East anymore (they can, but at much more peril today than in 1930. and for the love of God dont turn this into a heavy political view thread) What about the health risks? Bottom line: Is his lifestyle feasible according to todays standards? Put some thought into it, educated responses only please!

If you go to some jungle in Africa then you'll have some adventures Indy-style :-)
Today's world isn't the same as world in first part of XX century, there's less romantic and dangerous things. Even James Bond lost his charm, not wears hat and drive his invisible car (what an nonsense at the scientific point of view).
Actually, adventures in real life always was some extraordinary things, they don't happens every month (like in comic books about Indy). So in every century most of tales about adventures have place in past of future. And today we have the same situation - action movies usually tells us about early XX century (like The Mummy) or future (like Minority Report) or just alternate universe.
No, I think, any try to find an adventure in our civilized world will cause nothing but disaster.

Definately not. I believe that he would be shot nowadays on his first adventure.
But on the part above quoted, like, say, Israel, in the Middle East, I've been over there four times, (Been about where I could spit into Jordan, (Like as in where Petra (Canyon of the Cresent Moon) is))
and it is not near as bad as the news portrays. So, as far as danger, in public, with ruffians, and murderers in the street, in present day, there would be a 50/50 chance of being shot down before they could harm a modern day indiana Jones. ;)
