Hello All!
This past Tuesday evening in the U.S. (December 21st) CBS television aired the annual show, "The Kennedy Center Honors." John Williams was an honoree. Did anyone catch it? It was not a live broadcast, having been recorded at an earlier date. Still, I wonder if the march from "Raiders" was played. This achievement is a pretty cool accomplishment! :whip:

If you saw it, share your thoughts if you desire.

And Seasons Greetings and Peace on Earth to all Raveners!

Yes, I saw that! They did indeed play the Raiders March, along with many other themes from movies he has composed for. It was interesting, because they did not have breaks in the music, they would just go from one piece to the next. I thought it was very well done, and so did John Williams, apparently, as when it was over he told them they had nailed it. :whip:

Don't worry, you can tape it when he gets his lifetime achievement award.

That sounds sarcastic, but really it's not. It's kind of a rant saying "how many masterpieces does that guy have to create to win an oscar!". So many that he'll at least get a lifetime achievement award someday.
